What could have been a very disappointing evening, turned into a rather memorable one. I bought a special ticket to watch a #StatenIsland @FerryHawks game in a suite with @DocGooden. Unfortunately, Doc had to cancel (hope you’re okay, Doc) and did not appear. However, the #FerryHawks refunded the whole ticket price AND let us enter the game all the same. In fact, they had former @Mets #EdgardoAlfonzo and #WallyBackman signing autographs for everyone and #NelsonFigueroa @figgieny came to the suite to talk #baseball at the start of the game. Big thanks to owner/president #EricShuffler who was clearly working hard to make delicious lemonade out of a huge crate of lemons. If you haven’t been to this ballpark yet, do yourself a favor and go to a FerryHawks game. It’s an incredibly good time and a ridiculously great value — and I didn’t even mention the stunning views of #NewYorkHarbor and #LowerManhattan. P.S.
