hajjsshsna - there are people who call Luke a terrorist and a mass murderer for the Death Star I. And who claim Palpatine did nothing wrong. So yeah, be very cautious.
really how could anyone hate a man who goes on the record about how much he loves democracy
So last night my dad and I were talking about the potential that the Sith have a harder time doing Jedi stuff because it requires being calm and opening yourself to the Force in a way that isn’t natural for them and today I’ve been thinking about Jenner meditating (not saying meditating is just a Jedi thing, but it is a thing that she personally finds hard and I imagine a lot of other Sith/Darksiders do too).
Jenner has a really really hard time actually clearing her mind because sitting around to just think and let go of things is Not Her Strong Suit and being stagnant leads to thinking and thinking is BAD. It’s just so easy for her mind to go to upsetting and unpleasant places and so meditation sessions usually last a couple minutes tops before she gets up to lightsaber something until her mind is quiet.
But THEN it occurred to me, what if she can relax easier if someone is holding her hand and meditating with her…it doesn’t have to be a Jedi…just someone she finds comforting :) I think that would help…a lot.
Revan hated cold weather. She actually hated winter: the snow and the cold, and the winds. She peeled off the layers and hurriedly changed into her warmest pajamas.
Canderous was already fast asleep. He somehow managed to leave enough room in their bed for her to easily climb in. She was tall and still only an inch shorter than he was, with long legs. She sometimes thought they needed a bigger bed.
She quietly climbed in and sighed as she drew the covers over herself. Copi, their cat, meowed and laid between the couple. Revana smiled, happy to be warm and at home again.
So today I got out of my house for the first time in three months to go to a music of Star Wars concert my local symphony orchestra was putting on. I bawled during Leia’s theme (didn’t help that the 21st was her birthday) and they let a bunch of kids in costumes have a little parade while they played the Imperial March. There was this adorable toddler dressed as R2. On the way out though this daughter of a hutt was complaining about it, saying it ruined the experience. I almost fought her.
We can’t ruin the sanctity of the Imperial March now can we? That’s a time to reflect solemnly on the glory of the Empire. Seriously what is that chick’s problem. Looks like you went to a great show though, and I’m remembering that “daughter of a Hutt” insult for later 😂 Happy birthday Carrie, I look forward to seeing you on screen one last time 😢
@fettjango and i guess anyone else who’s curious how i sage heal? first off lemme say that this is a really good guide and though I didn’t learn via a guide, this one covers everything pretty thoroughly. however, it also gets ridiculously complicated imo so here’s my version.
First off: I always have at least three quickbars up in my UI, all three are keybound. I do have a full keyboard with a number keypad attached, which is what I use to keybind my third quickbar.
First image: where my keybinds are laid out.
I like to have my primary combat abilities keybound to surround my movement buttons. Around the WASD and Q/E keys I’ll uses 1-4, R, T, F, G, and then Z, X, C, V. The second quickbar uses those same keys, with the ALT button as a modifier. It’s a good place for my thumb to be as well, next to the spacebar. Both my first and second quickbars are bound to those keys, where the third quickbar is bound to the NUM keypad. It’s definitely up to you as a player how you want to keybind your things, but since I usually have one hand in the movement area and one hand on the numkey pad/mouse, I find this most convenient instead of going across the keyboard from 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0. I find that having my keys bound from 1-0 means that I always look back and forth from my keyboard. Not good when someone’s dying.
Second image: Keybinds and abilities
Generally, I place heal-y related abilities in my first quickbar, and more offensive stuff in the second. Although it really shouldn’t be the healer’s job to be interrupting shit, I feel like bad pugs make it more necessary :’) Descriptions under the cut re: placement of abilities and rotation related things. The rotation linked in the guide above is generally what I go with, though it’s a fairly in depth and therefore complicated explanation :’)
I also generally place often-used-but-without-fast-cooldown abilities on the Num-keypad keybinds. Most necessary would be Force Speed (num 4), phase walk (num 5), force potency, (num 6) and your combat revive (num 3). Having your raid buff in that area is also helpful, I find.
descriptions will include keybind then description of stuff, although the guide does have a section on sage healing for beginners which is. i wish i found it before i started playing but oh well :V
... also i’ve had this in my drafts for fucking EVER and it’s gotten to the point where i’ve lost it in my drafts, so i’m just gonna. publish this now and. try to explain properly later hopefully slkfjsdlfk
Pre fight -
4 - Bubble everyone, including yourself.
R - your insta-HOT, use on everyone including yourself
Num 5 - place a phase walk nearby, preferably near a kolto station and/or out of Line of Sight from any Big Boss, its ads, or any cliffs. Very useful “oh shit” tool.
Start of fight - use the moment combat’s been initiated bc both mental alacrity and force potency has long cooldowns, and you wanna get as much out of it as possible.
alt-C - mental alacrity - alacrity, immunity to interrupts
num-6 - force potency - 60% chance to crit next abilities
My rotation for "ok yall are losing health but not dying, we’re good”:
4 - bubble
R - insta hot
3 - your beefiest single-target heal. just stick with one person for now.
V - wandering mend, your ping-pong heal. place on someone who’s actively losing health, or else it won’t actually ping pong.
3 - beefy single target heal whoever’s losing most health.
4 - bubble everyone again
My rotation for “oh shit someone’s dying” healing (generally at less than half health):
4 - bubble. usually i find that if someone’s dying very fast, it’s cuz they don’t have the bubble up. the bubble is safe and secure. it absorbs a ridiculous amount of damage. make sure everyone has one all the time.
R - insta hot
T - ticking hot, also heals a ridiculous amount over a long period of time
3 - beefy single target heal until up to full
X - cleanse if possible
V - ping pong heal whoever’s dying
4 - make sure everyone’s bubbled again
There’ll be times when abilities light up, such as 2 (shorter single target heal, takes more Force to be worth it without it lighting up) and your force regen, Z. If someone’s losing health (less than 2/3 or 3/4 health. I’d say 5/8 but it’s so hard to visually conceptualize lol) and 2 has lit up, use it and then bubble them. If not, then force regen.
Your force regen costs a LOT and sucks up a LOT of energy. If you use it once, your force regen is at 75% capacity, if you use it twice it’s now at 50%, three times is at 25%, etc. To counter this, use your ticking HOT (healing trance) a LOT. It gives you the Resplendence buff which basically helps cancel out the effects out your force regen’s cost.
That stupid “DJ was actually Boba Fett” theory is going around parts of twitter again. I just have no words for how stupid it is, like no, both of those characters are different races and on top of that, pretty sure Fett would be much older than how DJ looked. (He’d be in his mid to late sixties, come on y’all.)
