SCHOOL DIARIES: Our first hospital duty (FEU-NRMF Hospital), OB Ward.
5:30am nagkita na kami sa starbucks ng hospital then pagkarating ng CI namin, dumeretso kami sa Nurse Station 4B (OB Ward) kung saan inaadmit yung mga ENT, OB, Gyn patients and an Isolation room for those patients with contagious or adverse case/s. Pinakilala ng CI namin yung head nurse and nurses dun, they were all so jolly and talkative pero makikita mo pa din yung professionalism sa kanila. Then we had our tour sa buong station 4B. Ang sarap sa feeling na yes, this is it. We will be dealing with hospital cases na. Tiring siya, oo kasi kahit wala gaanong patients, may naassign padin samin to check the charts and get the vital signs then interview na din. Yung napunta samin ng partner ko is a patient with possible endometrial polyp vs uterine fibroids and kailangan siya dalhin ng 12nn sa OR for her to undergo hysteroscopy. Complicated diba? Hahahaha pero happy padin si patient before the procedure kahit halatang kinakabahan siya dahil sa bilis ng pulse rate niya hahahahaha. After that, puro discussions na with our CI about hospital rules, nursing interventions, hospital forms (kardex, v/s forms, MAR, DAMA, diet form, etc.), duty requirements, etc.
Last duty na namin this week sa OB ward then Nova District Hospital AGAIN next this march yay! More labor and delivery cases! Hopefully.
