My first released work for my ghost AU! This one tells Feya’s backstory in this AU, though I really experimented with the format and POV’s here. It’s mainly told as a ghost story by a narrator from our modern day. It was hard to try to figure out how to make this format feel right, but I’m proud of what it has become! ⛰️ [MOUNTAIN] -> What is your Original Characters favorite spot on Jorvik? Are they more of a nature lover, or do they need the fuzz and buzz of the cities?

Corinne loves the Hollow Woods! They love nature.

Feya's favourite place is the Mirror Marshes and the abandoned observatory.

Alou says they don't have a favourite place but they do and it's vending at winter markets in Jarlaheim.

Elaina's favourite place is Velvet's stable <3

Zoe's favourite place is... honestly anywhere in Mistfall, really. Maybe the lake?

Everlee's favourite spot is a little hidden corner of Greendale. It's a nice calm place to contrast the rest of her hectic life.

Athena hasn't been on Jorvik long enough to definitively say whether she has a favourite spot since she hasn't been able to explore a ton of places yet.

🪄 [MAGIC WAND] -> Does your Original Character know about the magic powers existing across Jorvik? Do they know of the Sisterhood and the Keepers, of the Herds in Wild Woods, or Pandoria? If not, how do they explain some of the things happening around them (e.g. whatever Devil's Gap got going after the latest Main Quest)?

Alou's philosophy is "if I do not aknowledge it it does not exist. And even if it does it will not pay attention to me as long as I don't draw its attention and mind my own business." They do not know anything about magic, they have some knowledge on the uses of crystals but only because they use them in jewelry and it's a good thing to know when selling.

All the others know about the Sisterhood and the Keepers, and are part of the Keepers/druids! Zoe knows about the Herds from Kieron, but has promised him not to share. Corinne knows about the Herds on Wild Warden knowledge, again sworn to silence, it's a "trade secret" of sorts. They are all aware of Pandoria, and Elaina is training to specialize in exploring it.

Corinne's father introduced them into his coven at an early age, and they have been a witch for almost all her life. Crucially, the Keepers do not know about this, as she doubts they'd react well to it. Her coven does know about her druid status though, and they're cool with it.

Feya is sort-of-part of a hidden magical group. (homebrew lore). I will give no further info on that right now, I keep telling myself to make a post about it. Maybe I will sometime within uhhh 2 days and like 20 years. I mean... it's all there in faer name, really ;)

🛸 [U.F.O] -> What is your Original Character's opinion on Pandoria and the 'travel' through time and space taking place across some places in Jorvik?What about other legends and myths of Jorvik that they got to meet in person (e.g. Jon Jarl)?

Elaina loves Pandoria! She is very interested in it, which is why she accepted the explorer/researcher apprenticeship. The others all think she is insane for doing it but support her nonetheless.

They're really not that bothered by the time and space stuff, tbh. They mostly just use it to their advantage - Everlee most of all.

Since none of them are part of the main storyline, they haven't really interacted with any legends and myths as far as I can recall.

Alou lives in oblivious bliss.

🐴 [HORSE] -> Since Jorvik is the 'Island of Horses', does your Original Character own/ride a horse? Do they even know how to ride, or could they not care less about horses? If they own a horse, what breed and name?

Corinne owns several horses, and has soulbonded with several of them! Her "main" soul horse, if she had to qualify that, would be Masha, a senior NSH mare.

Zoe owns Kieron, a Jorvik Wild stallion! They just immediately clicked, although the road to him becoming a perfect ranger horse was a long one.

Justin matched Athena to Paladin, a Jorvik Warmblood gelding!

Elaina owns Velvet, an older English Thoroughbred mare.

Feya owns Lunabelle, a Jorvik Warmblood mare.

Everlee owns Memoria, a Friesian mare!

Alou does not own a horse - they don't have the funds or time to keep one, especially since they keep travelling around. They do keep snacks for other's horses around though!

👥 [TWO PEOPLE] -> Has your Original Character formed any special bonds on Jorvik? Be it romantic, platonic, or a third secret option. Who have they bonded with?

Oh boy oh boy let me introduce you to the OC polycule!

Corinne, Elaina, Everlee, Zoe, Feya - and in the future, Athena - are all in a polycule together with a big range of different relationship types! Corinne is queerplatonic with all of them, but getting into detail on each of them would take. A lot. (and also I haven't got a full grip on it yet - I need to make a relationship web I think)

They are, of course, also all soulbonded to their horses. That counts as a special bond, right?

Alou is not currently in a relationship, but they do have their eye on a certain miscreants merch stallholder...

👕 [SHIRT] -> What does your Original Characters style of clothing look like? Does their closet show what group they belong to - e.g. how the BobCats all wear their signature pink club clothing.

Ok so I don't have a full grip on it yet so I'll make this quick and it's likely to fluctuate at points.

Corinne just kind of dresses like I do, I guess. Which is very different depending on the amount of effort she wants to put in. Preference for long skirts and highwaisted pants though.

Athena - very very feminine. Soft colours, tends to favour pastels (especially pink) and white. Looks like she jumped out of an aesthetic moodboard.

Zoe - earth tones, darker jewel tones. Often just whatever is on hand and comfortable. Tends to lean more androgynous to masc, but honestly does not put much effort into presenting a certain way, it just kind of happens. Also often seen in a ranger uniform.

Elaina - warm colours! Comfy, often knitted fabrics. The person you're always looking at and going "are you not overheating?" in summer.

Feya - take Elaina. Now make it opposite. Cool colours. Still comfy, but prefers more flowy fabrics. This is the person you're looking at in winter and going "why are you in a thin top and shorts when it is snowing"

Alou - honestly just very casual. Doesn't really stand out much. Mostly earth tones with maybe some pastel accents. Goes over the top in jewelry though. They have a jewelry business, it's allowed!

14: Who’s their best friend? Their worst enemy?

They are eachothers best friends (and more than that, polycule ftw). Corinne is also really good friends with their sibling, and they all also have some friends within their respective organizations; the theater troupe, the Jorvik rangers, moorland stables, the southern Jorvik witch coven, the town of Firgrove as a whole, the [REDACTED]…

(I’ll make a post introducing Feya and her lore soon I promise, though I’ve dropped hints within various posts throughout the years. It’s vaguely deducable but big parts of the lore are like, homebrew (for lack of a better word) so I do feel like I need to make a post about it one of these days).

Alou is best friends with the miscreants stall holder but would like to be more than that.

Worst enemies is hard because I do my best to try to keep them out of the Main main storyline. While they’re all powerful druids (or at the very least druids with a lot of potential) they are not soul riders, which mostly counts out the dark riders and other big figures in the storyline. So you know what, I can go more personal with this.

Corinne’s worst enemies are some of the “friends” she had before that left them with some severe trauma related to friendship and as Corinne is partially a self-insert I’ll keep it at that.

Everlee’s friends are also her worst enemies; the other actors at her theater. They are constantly competing for roles. (Everlee does not have a lot of enemies, none of them ever stoop to sabotage).

Feya has a weird dynamic with most people in her town as fae is considered strange by the village. Depending on the AU they could be enemies or just strained relationships. (With the ghost AU going the enemies route)

Zoe just fucking hates GED man

26: What is their favourite time of the year?

For simplicity I’ll go with seasons here!

Alou likes the summer (the high point of traveling and events), Athena also really likes summer because she has more time to focus on riding!

Zoe does not like summer because it’s the height of tourist and wildfire season meaning that as a Mistfall Ranger they’re basically on call 24/7 (it’s TIRING). They prefer autumn.

Elaina likes spring and autumn!

Everlee’s favourite season is winter.

30: How did they react when they first met a horse in real life?

All of them grew up around horses! I suppose most of them had the same reaction a tiny child would have to a big horse; intimidated. They quickly got over that though.

Corinne and Feya have never been scared or intimidated by horses, feeling a strong connection to the horse or the horse feeling a strong connection to them respectively.
