Mist Madness

Mist Madness occurs from an excess of dynamis in Viera due to being extremely overwhelmed by their emotions.

It doesn't create a blasphemy as Ethiryies lacks the natural amount of dynamis to fully transform. But depictions of Viera with Mist Madness will have them with more fur, claws, paws, with an unnatural glow to their eyes, more beast than human.

While attempts have been made to teach centering and emotional awareness to young kits, it's not a perfect solution. *there is no perfect solution*

Most often those who are lost to Mist Madness are Wood Protectors and Wood Warders. A solitary life often leads to being alone with their own thoughts and the lack of external support from their community creates cracks in their emotional foundations. They tend to suffer from the most extreme cases of the Madness.

Lesser cases can occur in the villages due to the very soul-searching and in depth nature of Rava rituals. These afflicted Ravas happen to be more intune with the Jungle and all the life it houses. This leads to a form of clairvoyance where they can sense natural and unnatural events due to this 'sight' Due to this occurrence, the Ravas will be sent to the religious center of their community and be trained to be a form of Shamans. In terms of the physical effects, they usually only have bigger extremities and the glow in their eyes.

HC: Teeth Ceremony

Inspiration: Potong Gigi am indigenous Bali ceremony 

This is also a closed cultural practice. Rava wouldn't share this ceremony with non-Rava 

 Kits are born with slightly buck teeth. As they get get older the teeth become more pronounced. When mRava becomes of age (18) and after their first long term stay training under a Wood Warder (ages 13-18) there is a ceremony that takes place in order to fully welcome them into adulthood. A religious leader, the mother of the kit, and the almost-adult kit will cleanse themselves using smoke from dried herbs representing the Mist. Where then  the kit is lays on a table and bites down on wood. The mother helps the religious leader by handing them objects and soothing the kit as the religious leader uses a file to sharpen the kits canines and file down the traditional buck teeth. There is a plant that is chewed and spit out that will numb the mouth for this. After this ceremony takes place: the kit will now be considered a Wood Protector and an adult in the Rava community

HC: RAVA SEX ED AND TRANS HEALTHCARE

The Rava use plants, herbs, teas, pastes, and potions to create a homeopathic version of HRT and other medical needs. Due to its limitations, no one expects to "pass" because that doesn't exist in Rava culture as they are accepted for who they say they are. Kits learn about their body differences (varying presentations of intersex bodies) and how to care and groom for their own and others. Also what natural HRT will do to them. Although, still children are referred as a seperate [gender] until they're ready. fRavas aren't always expected to procreate. There are contraceptive methods that are used including

to end a pregnancy. Likewise there are foods, drinks, and other items that will enhance fertility and stamina that are often prepared for days when mRava come to visit the villages. Gender journeys aren't always linear. Spiritual Leaders often have the more chaotic of gender journeys and council those who are questioning. Nature is fluid and so are the Rava. There are stories of older Rava who have changed gender/roles that are told to children as fables. The way gender works is tied to their purpose in the community therefore their gender roles can never be fully understood by outside society. However, the best trans healthcare Rava have is social acceptance.
