god I love Kadaj's theme song so fFFUCKING much. it's so good. like Jesus Christ. it's literally perfect for him. I'm not the best at music analysis but it's so good for Kadaj as a character. it's a fucking electric guitar and cello duet. it has all the elements of a rock song yet it's slow paced and dangerous. not to mention the sort of staticky noises? they add so much FLAVOR I'm OUGUGHHH I need this song injected directly into my bloodstream Jesus Christ

I went to the FF7 remake concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London today, it was magical! 😭💖💫✨

piano mix of Midnight Rendezvous from the FFVII Remake OST with Interrupted by Fireworks (and also a bit of the Prelude and Aeris’/Aerith’s Theme)

it’s been way too long since I did a Final Fantasy VII thing!  This is pretty minimal and still, at least til the end.  Midnight Rendezvous in particular is a very very meditative/repetitive one, it’s lovely, so I was inspired by that sort of atmosphere.

I could put up the (slightly vague in places) sheet music if anyone’s interested.

What’s are some of your favorite tracks from the original game? I’d say a couple of mine are: Off the Edge of Despair, The Nightmare Begins, WEAPON Raid, and Reunion. I mean ofc the whole OST is amazing- also feel free to add compilation music, though the only two I can think of are Underneath the Apple Tree And Price of Freedom +/- a few from AC

First: I absolutely love CC’s entire weird western-tinged, romantic string music and I’m glad that kind of sound carried over into Hollow for the Remake. Like. So glad. Lol.

A Flower Blooming in the Slums (from CC) is really pretty, too.

 "the song that plays during the date scene between the hero and heroine."

still not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to make a playlist of all the tracks that sent chills down my spine from FF7, but despite the two main outcomes I expected ("have nightmares" and "work out what made them eerie") I'm almost surprised that potential outcome number three hasn't quite come through yet ("listen to it so much you get desensitized and they are no longer scary")

Unexpected outcome though: Kiiiiinda want to start a new game?
