Working with other demon slayers was always a gamble when it came to Kira, as much as she despised it. Kagaya must have known this and still paired her with others, even though she had the strength of two or more slayers... As tedious as that could be, she trusted her master’s judgement. If he wanted her to work with someone else for a mission, she would do it without verbal complaints. 

Night had securely fallen upon the town that Kira was supposed to meet her temporary partner in. There were rumors of a demon haunting the town at night, taking unsuspecting people who were out and about. Too weak to attack the entire village as it seemed, but still strong enough to still be alive. That won’t last. Kira was already trying to sense the presence of another demon and pinpoint the location...but she wasn’t alone, she quickly realized. Human with strong breath control, so must be a demon slayer. Her partner.

Kira turned around to face him, offering the man a close-lipped smile. “You must be my partner, then? It’s a pleasure to meet you. Let’s find this demon and eliminate them.” Even though she didn’t really need it, Kira found herself holding her breath for a moment--time to see if she will have to complete this mission alone or not. Some humans have heightened senses and can just tell that she’s a demon... She hoped he wouldn’t be the case.

“Don’t talk with your mouth full,” He’s got half a sandwich in his hand — or more accurately, three tenths of it while the rest of it sits in his lap while he sighs at his classmate. “I don’t want to see what you’re eating while you’re eating it.”

       “Why not?! You’re eating while I’m eating, and I can see you eating while you’re eating,” is said, all the while he has rice stuck to his cheek and... inside of his cheek.

   Never in Craig’s wildest dreams did he ever imagine he’d get scouted by a real agency like this. Honestly, being surrounded by so many talented idols, it was hard not to feel like he was in way over his head. But everyone probably feels that way starting out, right? Despite his rising nerves, Craig did his best to play it cool. He had to make a good first impression, after all. 

   Wait, is that who he thinks it is?

“ Y- you’re Yukihiro Kamiya! From Café Parade! I’m a big fan! Would it be too much to ask for an autograph? ” 

   Well, so much for playing it cool.

Most of time, psychologist spent in living room of mansion, mostly nose in her notes, collecting everything about fellow resident, as well as hunters. Socializing didn’t feel mandatory, even if she was one of newer additions. Eyes only slightly raised up as other walked around, looking out for someone.

Her position corrected moment she saw the one she had question to currently. Eli Clark. Pen pulled away from her notebook, book quick to close.

“ Mr. Clark, right? “ She slightly raised up from her place & walked over to seer. “ I have to admit that I can’t help, but wonder... do you see through this blindfold? It doesn’t seem like a very bright idea to limit your sight, considering what happens in these matches. Or is it to help you through them? After all, what you don’t see doesn’t hurt as much. “ Small chuckle escaped her at the end. It might’ve looked like she’s mocking it a bit- & it could partially be it, even if it wasn’t her direct intention. More than anything it was more connected with her curiosity, after all this manor is filled with interesting cases & she couldn’t wait to learn the answer.

Kira never wanted to be in a situation like this ever again. She vaguely remembered being drenched in blood all those years ago, sobbing as she desperately ate to try to fulfil her starvation but at the same time being eaten alive by her own guilt. Her teacher found her and showed her a different way. A better way. But Kira hasn’t been alive for centuries like Tamayo. She didn’t have her level of control. 

She stood there, eyes wide and fearful as the blade was pointed at her throat. She couldn’t form words... What was there to say.?? She shouldn’t have come back. She should have instead run all the way back to her teacher in the hopes that she could do something to fix this mess. Kira kept her bloodied hands close to her chest. Her fearful eyes watered. 

“I...I...” She swallowed. Her hands trembled. Slowly did she reach her hands up to cover her mouth as she tried to calm down, but she couldn’t. She was visibly shaking. Oh gods, what has she done..?? “There... There were bandits...and they killed an innocent traveler...a-and I was just trying to disarm them..!! I didn’t mean-...but they had stolen nichirin swords...a-and they tried to kill me, but my arms and legs grew back, and I...” Regaining her limbs took so much energy...too much energy. She was damn lucky there were no innocent civilians in the area, but she lost herself. She blacked out. All she knew when she came to was that she was bathed in blood...and their bodies were all partially devoured. 

Kira slowly stepped backwards. He smelled delicious too, but she won’t make that mistake again. She couldn’t afford to... She should have just stayed away and gone back to Tamayo, but now... “I... I’m so sorry...”
