I saw you reblog a werewolf sam and kirby thing a while ago. Do you write for them?

If so would you write about werewolf sam and kirby in their wolf forms cuddling with tara? On the full moon i think they would be possessive with tara and they would carry her around by the hem of her shirt! They would act like mama wolves and tara loves it! The part tara doesn’t love is when they try to bring dead animals that they hunted as a gift for tara(like how dogs and cats bring food to their young) into the house

That's @a-b-o-v-eg-r-o-u-n-dr-a-d-i-s-h's Cursed by the Moonlight AU! She really inspired me with her werewolf Sam thoughts, so I'm working on my own werewolf AU. I have written so much lore today lol.

Sidenote, I'm having such trouble naming it. All I can think of is fangs for the support. I wanted a good moon or pack pun but I'm dumb 😞 Also I just kinda want to make Werewolf timelines of all my existing AU's lmao. (The urge to make this another 10 years age gap AU is SO strong because of the image of big doggy Sam and tiny little Tara.)

Sam always comes back from her moonlight jaunts with a gift for Tara, like it's an apology for having to leave her alone. Sometimes it's flowers, pretty rocks, and toys people have dropped. Sometimes it's bones, sometimes it's animals. Usually dead. An alive rabbit once that Sam was incredibly proud of catching if the breeze her wagging tail caused was anything to go by. Tara made her put the rabbit back. (She once bought back a snake and dropped it on Tara's bed whilst she was sleeping, a mistake she won't ever make again.)

Born wolves in their full form are massive, so Tara is prime size for being scruffed during full moons, much to her frustration sometimes. They get so much more protective during that three-day period of the full moon that she has no choice but to engage in pack-time. (Tara does love wolf-cuddles, though she'll never admit it. There's nothing like climbing on top of this massive creature and snuggling down, like facing this beast that could kill her in an instant but knowing it won't.)

13-year-old Tara thought she would be the one getting jealous when 22-year-old Kirby starts coming around, because Kirby is a born wolf too, and Tara's just a lame human. This is someone new that 18-year-old Sam can share her world with, that Tara will never be able to relate to (👀), but it turns out actually Sam is the one who gets jealous of having to share Tara with Kirby. Tara's insecurities all melt away on that first full moon together when she's patting Kirby's head and Sam butts her way in between them, growling all the while, to wrap herself around Tara.

Kirby was actually really nervous about spending a full moon around Tara, she'd never wolfed out around a human. It's just not something that is done. But Sam never grew up with a pack like she should have, she doesn't know their rules and laws, and she's always spent her moons with her sister, so it's not like Kirby would be able to convince her otherwise anyway, and Sam does need to learn and be around other wolves, so she takes it upon herself to join them to teach her. Kirby expressed her worries to Sam directly, and the way she had laughed was unnerving, the way she said "as if I would ever let you hurt Tara" was chilling. Kirby is older than Sam, and yet the threat in her words made her want to submit like she was just a pup.

Kirby's dismayed to see just how much bigger than her Sam is in their full forms. It speaks to more than just their human sides, it speaks to a level of power. She really needs to convince Sam to join the pack, but she knows packs don't allow humans, and Sam has made her own with a human.

When will wolf tara first shift?

I assume it will be kind of painful and sam would definitely be there

Fun fact, the first shift is always excruciatingly painful! That's why by nature their first shifts are so young, so that they don't remember it! With every shift it gets less and less painful. By the time they've shifted a dozen times, it doesn't hurt at all.

For born wolves.

For turned wolves... well.

In path 1, Sam inherits her wolfness from her father, and Tara is a human. Tara gets turned by another wolf in this path as late teen/young adult (exact ages currently undecided).

In path 2a, Sam inherits her wolfness from her mother, and Tara is just a late bloomer. She turns at 15.

In path 2b, Sam inherits her wolfness from her mother, but Tara does not. She'll never be a wolf here. But she certainly doesn't remain human 👀

Whenever Tara turns, you know Sam is there to comfort her as best she can and be there for her, helpless as she watches her sister suffer.

(I know this is a little complicated, but if you wanna send in questions and stuff please specify fangs 1 or fangs 2a or fangs 2b, or [other au] werewolf timeline) (that's not aimed at you asker, I just mean going forward for people, I'm the one making this complicated with all these timelines).

I can see tara and werewolf sam fighting over her chew toy since tara likes to chew stuff too

Tara has her own clean rubber chew toy (with a bit of rope tied around one end so wolf!Sam can pick it up without putting it her mouth), so she can join Sam when she's wolfed out.

In the wolf!Tara timelines, Sam just has to accept it's Tara's chew toy now. She pretends to be annoyed, but she'll wrap herself around her growling little sister munching on the toy and nip at her ears and grooming her as she plays.

I think sometimes sam would come home in her wolf form covered in blood and tara helps her clean up and shes just hoping that she just killed an animal and not a human

All I can think about right now is Tara making wolf!Sam sit outside as she blasts her with a hose.

After Tara turns, does she talk to her wolf like Sam does? Or is that strictly a Sam thing?

Sam being able to talk to her wolf is definitely a special thing that she has that other werewolves don't. In path 2c, yes, Tara will also be able to communicate with her wolf. I'm undecided about paths 1 and 2a.

Do you have a reference or picture about how werewolves look in your fangs au?

I LOVE you for asking that my friend, the answer is no though however asdfghjkl.

So my idea for what the werewolves are/look like has changed several times, because I'm an indecisive joke of a person. I discussed this with Bailey and they had Very Strong werewolf opinions and were persuasive, so I think I've landed on they're just giant wolves on the full moon. Outside of wolf form, they have enhanced senses and strength, and the ability to draw forth fangs/claws/glowing eyes.

This is modern-day werewolves. Werewolves of old are very much ya classic bipedal wolf monster things of chaos and destruction, shown under the read more. There is a reason for the difference between modern werewolves and how they used to look that may be explored throughout my werewolves AU's/timelines, who knows. I don't want to just straight up tell you guys, that's boring.

Their wolf form is only available on the full moon, although there are recorded situations of weres changing in times of great stress, and of them getting stuck in their form. Parents will tell their kids to behave or the Hell's Beast - a wolf that lost its way - will get them. There are rumours of wolves with great power who can change at will, though they are only rumours. None have ever been seen, or recorded.

Hi again:) I love me some werewolves so this is for Fangs for the support, each iteration of it! But I’m curious if you have decided what color eyes the girls would have. I know in some werewolf lore different eye color can mean different things. Anyway, love your stuff and you!

I love getting to make these very specific details, thank you for asking!! Click on the colours for the hex codes. These aren't fixed, just sort of what I'm imagining.

Wolf Tara gets amber eyes. Vampire her is garnet. Wolf Sam has gold eyes. Tara's eyes are darker whereas Sam's are more vibrant.

Red eyes for pack leaders - we'll say Alphas even though I know that's not a thing, it's just fun. There is a pack ritual where the wolf accepts their position as Alpha and their eyes change colour through the ceremony.

Most wolves have amber/yellow/brown eyes, although some have blue or green, it pretty much carries over from their human forms. Those with grey eyes will always have blue as a wolf.

I love the idea in Teen Wolf that wolves who have harmed innocents get blue eyes, but as people do have blue eyes and I'm having it carry over, I'm going with a silver for that.

I loved your latest post! Do you have an idea in mind abt how werewolves claim as their own or scent mark(i dont remember if you answered this already!)

I think it's just the same way all animals do, by licking and rubbing their head on you and just rolling all over you and around your things. It's about the saturation of scents, of leaving their mark on you so all know who you belong to. It's part of why Sam's wolf is so fond of chomping down on Tara. Little nips, never hard enough to truly hurt. Leaving little marks that display that she's claimed.

They also do it in human form via kissing and hugging. Just touch in general is sharing a part of yourself with another, leaving yourself behind and taking from them. Werecreatures are very territorial, so it's never wise to go touching one another's packs without prior familiarity.
