Going to a ball wasn’t really your thing and yet your family persuaded you to come and join the fun. The Rosfield family invited you all to come to the ball, you didn’t want to attend but you didn’t want to disappoint your mother and father. They would be upset if you didn’t come. They suggest that you should socialize with the outside world more often.
As soon as you got off the carriage with your parents, you carefully walked up the stairs with other people walking in front of you. You entered inside and everything you saw in there was very dazzling and fancy. A thousand of people dancing harmoniously while the greatest musicians playing their delicate instruments. You wowed at the whole place, even though it’s not to your liking, you did find it pretty.
Your mother and father wandered off to speak with the Rosfield family, probably to chat about things in life as usual. Surprisingly, the Rosfield family have been very good friends with your parents for quite a while since they have something in common.
You watched the people dance in the ball with a glass of wine in your hand. The last time you went to a ball for some random family occasion, you were very drunk as you had too wine. People gawked at you in disgust. Your father was displeased with you and your reckless behaviour and Your mother started to worry about your drinking problem ever since then. You promised them that you won’t behave like that ever again. Sometimes you like to mess around and you never gave a damn about people will say about you.
As you were drinking wine from the shiny glass, someone came over to you and asked, “Hello, why are you here by yourself?” you turned your head around and somehow he looked familiar. “I actually came here with my family, they wandered off to speak with the so-called Rosfield family.” You finished off your wine as you spoke to the charming fella. “Oh, well, I’m Clive Rosfield.” Your eyes widened in shock when he introduced himself, you figured out that he’s the son of Lord Rosfield and Lady Rosfield. “Ah. Pleased to meet you, Clive. I can’t believe I’ve never seen you around before. I’m (Y/n) (L/n).” you shook his hand respectfully. “(L/n)? Oh, you’re the daughter of (y/m/n) and (y/f/n)!” Clive discovered that your family are good friends with his, “How come I’ve never met you before?” he questioned why he never seen you before. Clive never imagined he would meet someone else from the (F/l/n) family.
“I really don’t like going out a lot, especially with gaudy places like this. That could be the reason why you’ve never met me before. Let’s just say my family forced me to come here.” You wished you were at home right now, doing whatever you want to do. “Ah I see. You look rather beautiful tonight, Miss (L/n).” Clive complimented you kindly. You let out a blush, “Thank you and just call me (Y/n).” you and Clive smiled at each other. “Well, (Y/n), would you like to dance with me?” You thought no one at this ball would dance with you. It would be rude to decline his offer. “Yes. Yes I would love to.” Clive held your hand and walked with you to the dancefloor.
While dancing with Clive beautifully, some women were looking at you jealousy and you could tell that they are gossiping about you. Others on the dancefloor started looking at you and Clive as they put a pause to their dance. Everyone in the ball began watching you. Including the Rosfield family and the (F/l/n).
“Clive, everyone’s looking at you.” You think everybody was watching him. Clive chuckled and figured out the obvious, “Believe me, (Y/n), everybody’s looking at you.” As you swayed around with Clive, he picked you up in the air to spin you around and puts you down continuing the dance. People in the ballroom awed at the two of you in amazement. “What do you say we get out of here and go somewhere else? I know a place that’s peaceful.” Clive suggested an idea, it seems like he wants to spend alone time with you. “Yeah, I see why not. Besides, it’s getting rather crowded in here.” Clive grabbed your hand tightly and the two of you dashed out of the ballroom to go somewhere else.

Lord Rosfield noticed that his own son Clive has grown attached to (Y/n), “It appears my son has taken a liking to your daughter.”
(F/n) agreed so, “Indeed, I never knew this day would happen and I hope she does not cause trouble for him.”
“She won’t, darling. Well, knowing her, she might. They may have something in common with each other from the looks of it. Clive and (Y/n), of course. Would they like to mess around, just let them be. I can tell they are already getting along. (Y/n) may be a silly girl at times but she is a very caring, loving daughter. I know that she will find someone to love in her life one day.” (M/n) smiled sweetly at the thought of her own daughter being with someone she truly loves.
Lady Rosfield somehow disagreed, “Knowing (Y/n), she will bring nothing but trouble to our family. Soon Clive and your daughter (Y/n) will tire each other.”
(M/n) shook her head as she sipped her glass of wine, smiling “I highly doubt that.”
