the first time i stole someone's demeter, first np line i hear is the one where she's begging for her daughter not to be taken away and it kinda broke me to hear her cry so now i refuse to have that woman on 3rd ascension.
MOMMY <///3 SWEET MOTHER. WE LOVE YOU. I'LL TAKE YOUR MELONPAN PLEASE NEVER CRY AGAIN I BEG YOUUUU
Demeter is an agonizing chore to fight because her daughter is dead, but instead of bringing about eternal winter, she’s going to dry up everyone’s Saint Quartz reserves.
Personality: An outdoor girl who is closer to her mother in terms of being a nature lover. She likes to spend her time tending to her private garden. She is someone who likes the outdoors and spends most of her time outside, that being said, the cool feeling of air conditioning is something not normally afforded to her by nature. So on very hot days, she will come to see the value in such a machine. Normally very nice and friendly, at least to her friends and family. But she has an apprehension against strangers and those who disrespect nature.
Other Stuff: The dress shes wearing is what she refers to as her “Combat skirt”. Although she actually has little in the way of fighting. In a battle, she is more suited to being a healer and supporter, this is thanks to her natural healing powers. Compared to her brother Milo who has regeneration powers, she is less durable than him, but her healing is faster and can be used on others. The Mystic code staff she carries absorbs mana from nearby sources and stores it for her to use later. It is less of a means to rapidly cast spells, and more of a easy access storage space for extra magical energy.
Bio: The twin Sister to Milo who is the family’s resident ray of sunshine. In the family dynamic, various kids fill certain roles, Myriam is the prankster, Finn is the intelligent strategist, Dawn is brawler, and Lavender is the one who helps her siblings mello out by being the one that everyone likes. Due to her cheerful cute smile, others can relax and feel calm around her. The reason she has a smile on her face most of the time is that she wants everyone to be happy to, even if they are only related through their father, these kids are still her siblings.
However, this kind and friendly behavior stops at her family. As she grew older, she began to learn that the outer world is not as kind and understanding as she expected it to be. As a child of Demeter, she is more in tune with nature than most, and can sense the damage done to the planet through human civilization. This has led to her developing a distrust of humans in general, only worsened by the fact that as a demigod, if the Mages Association were to ever find out who her mother was, they'd be one her like wolves on caribou.
At age 11, she asked her mother for her own private garden, to which Demeter happily obliged. In a secluded location somewhere in a North American forest, Lavender sometimes spends her time there tending to her many exotic flowers and fruits, and just enjoying the peaceful side of nature away from human development. At some point she begged her brother Finn to commission the building of a big treehouse that she would use to house family visitors whenever any of them need to get away from the world. Finn agreed in exchange for getting a share of the exotic crops her gardens produced for the next decade. Lavender, was initially confused why he’d want such a large cut, but it became more apparent when he started to get to work on her treehouse.
It turns out the profit he made from selling said crop went into the building of her treehouse. But it was far larger than she anticipated, or even needed really. With the addition of several gadgets and upgrades to said project, the treehouse ended up looking like something out of a certain children’s TV show about “Kids who lived Next Door” and just as stupidly big. Lavender just accepted this seeing as the contract was already signed and just decided to make the most out of it.
And also, it really was an awesome looking treehouse.
Quotes:
“My staff is one of my greatest tools, I am so grateful for mom and Miss Da Vinci for making for me. Hmmm? Whats that? You think you’ve seen this somewhere before?”
“Good morning brother/sister! Beautiful day we’re having! Shall we go and grab some food? I heard mom is making cinnamon muffins for breakfast today!”
“If any of you ever need any healing, just leave it to me!”
Relationships:
Mother: I honestly can’t thank mom enough for the things she’s taught me! How to plant seeds and grow plants. Stanger danger. Proper watering. Dangerous uncles. All that stuff people my age should know. I wanna grow up and be like her.
Father: Dad gives me the best piggyback rides, but as I get older, he starts to give me less and less of them. It makes me sad, I’m gonna miss the days when I can crawl into bed with him.
Milo: I think if it wasn’t for dad, mom wouldn’t let Milo get away with playing video games all the time. He even has a separate gaming setup in my treehouse in order to hide from her. Honestly…
Aster: I’m considering putting a fence around my garden whenever he comes over. My little brother still keeps pulling my sprouts out before their done, thinking he might get a carrot or something. Still, its cute seeing him still innocent as he should be.
Myriam: I love it when Myriam spends time teaching me new spells. I don’t have any use for casting pranks, but she has helped teach me how to make some attention-deflecting bounded fields so strangers don’t just randomly stumble into my hidden garden on accident.
Bronya: She comes by very often to relax and stay in the treehouse, I like to think she just enjoys all the animals that are around since she’s part fox/rabbit.
Zeus: Uncle Zeus once told me that if any strangers try to kidnap me, then I should just look to the sky and call his name.
Artemis: Big cousin likes to take her baths in the pond in my garden. Says that she can have some privacy with her darling while knowing a “peeping tom” won’t see her.
Camp-Half Blood Relationships
Meg: Big sis has so much confidence in her, and the way she uses her powers is so cool! I wish I could hang out with her more!
Lit: Like I said, family is family no matter what, but…his face is kinda scary.
Demeter: The mom of that world feels exactly the same as my mom. But, she also seems like…whats the word… kind of an airhead?
