Work Opportunity (Closed - Nanachi)
Alright: enough was enough fooling around. As tempting as he felt it was to get sidetracked by all this bountiful and wonderful display of human knowledge he could learn from - the fact remained he, Schezo, the great Dark Mage, could not rely on the meager coin he had earnt through Primp forever while he stayed here. It wasn’t that high an amount, for one thing - and for another thing, if he intended on obtaining knowledge here for the sake of becoming powerful enough to finally tell Arle so she understood he desired only her: some of this knowledge could only be gathered by tomes.
Tomes required either battling powerful monsters or demons, like in the Dark World, or money. Also, he would need money to pay curious ‘human’ needs like ‘bills’ or food as well. Though, in all honesty - why humans asked people to pay just for staying at a place was bizarre. He’d never had to pay in coin in the Dark World, merely make sure the area was safe beforehand?
Still, his teleportation to Primp had taught him some things, enough to just shrug and accept it. It was a shame he’d never learnt a money-making spell as the Dark Mage, then he wouldn’t have to work - but that would make things too easy. Looking through the apparent places that were open - a place near where he lived caught his attention.
It wasn’t far from home, so it was convenient in location. Also, they apparently specialized in herbal knowledge! He could certainly do that, being a Dark Mage! How did you ask for jobs in the human realm, again? Well, he’d go up and ask directly! No harm in that!
Having found his way to the place, apparently called Remitty, he knocked on the door before entering with a dramatic flair of his cape, looking intently for the owner of the shop.
“Shopkeep of fate! I wish to discuss important matters with you: of how I wish to have all of myself used as see fit for this work! Where are you?”
Schezo’s wording is terrible, honestly. The sentiment of what it actually meant was there, though. Even if he was awful with double-meanings in his speech unintentionally.
