Rules and Guidelines for Commissions and Requests
Like any other artist out there, I have a few things that I’d really like my readers to take into account when making a request or commissioning me to write a piece. I promise these rules aren’t anything crazy - really, they’re only in place to protect me, and to make the overall process easy for everyone!
So, pretty please, before you request a commission, check out this guide!
All payment will be handled via PayPal or Venmo, and I require payment up front! This is both to protect myself and my art as well as to act as a personal motivator. I hope you all understand. ♥️ If for any reason I’m not able to finish your request, I will refund your payment. However, I will not be accepting refunds otherwise!
All fics in the free for all tier will be posted for everyone to read, as will non-personalized NSFW content, and longer non-personalized fics! However, if your fic is personalized, I will ask your permission to post it! If you would rather it not be posted publicly, that’s okay!
Gender identity will not be considered a personalization to be paid for. I’ve always encouraged my readers to let me know what pronouns they’d like used in their requests, and I don’t have any plans to change that. And just FYI - if you don’t leave me a pronoun/gender preference for non-personalized stories, your character will be gender-neutral!
**EDITED 6/15** The fandoms that I actively write for at the moment are The Arcana and Doctor Who. I AM willing to write outside of those fandoms by commission (because I do like a wide range of shows/books/movies) but whether or not I can take your request will depend on my familiarity with your fandom and its characters. It’s been a bit tough talking through the fandoms I’m familiar with enough to write and write well for, so here is a condensed list of the fandoms I’d be most willing to write for! There are (of course) plenty other fandoms that I am passingly familiar with - just not quite so much as the ones listed. You can still ask about other fandoms, as long as you have something very specific in mind, and you can provide me enough reference for the characters and the specific context that your idea calls for. I’m willing to give most requests a go, given enough information.
I can also write canon x canon fic! My commissions are mostly based around a reader-insert type of fiction, but I can and will write canon ship fic for you, if that’s what you'd like. Again, though, I need to be at least familiar enough with the characters/their dynamic with one another to write them accurately.
Here’s the tough stuff... what can’t you request? As this goes, I don’t have too many restrictions, but there are - naturally - some things that I just don’t feel comfortable writing. These things include a few specific kinks (namely: watersports and scat-play, bestiality of any kind), as well as tropes like r*pe/underage/dubcon. Now, on a slightly touchier note: I’ve seen a lot of authors say that they won't write anything depicting mental illness or self-injury. While I suppose it may be a bit controversial, that is not the case with me. As a person who has struggled through issues of this nature, I know very well what it’s like to seek solace in a story about a character you love either struggling with/overcoming similar issues, or helping you through said issues. I’m well aware that stories like this can be comforting/cathartic to read, and in my personal opinion, that is not romanticizing the issue. That said: I am willing to write these fics. I can write these fics from personal experience. Anything of this nature will come with a trigger warning, if published - all I ask is that you tread very, very carefully. I am willing to discuss any idea you might have, as I know there will be minor exceptions to every guideline. However, if what you’re wanting isn’t something that I feel comfortable or capable of delivering, your request may be denied. This all goes for headcanon content as well!
