Dandy and I are getting a divorce. It was a complete surprise to me, but once the shock wore off it started to make sense. The last five years have been really difficult, and while we've always made it through it was never without some battle damage. We've both grown in different directions, and the time is right to move on and start fresh.
I'm doing okay, under the circumstances. I'm getting a lot of support from both friends and family. I'll be able to stay at the apartment until February when the lease is up, and then move in with a friend while I sort my life out. It's a challenging time, but I'm handling it.
Dandy was a huge source of financial support over the years. They are the reason I've been able to make webcomics for as long as I have as consistently as I have. I always wanted to pay them back for that. As weird as it may sound, I still hope that I can some day. But for now, money is going to be a big issue going forward.
