So... I’ve bit the bullet. I’ve signed for the @1dbackforyoucollab. Take These Chances has been languishing on AO3 for years and I just feel so, so bad for never finishing it (especially since all that’s left is delicious loving smut! What is WRONG with me?!), and seeing the incredible effect the collab had on me yesterday when it came to finish Like Sweat Dripping Down (our dirty laundry)... it’s pretty clear I must at least give it a shot.

I’m very, very nervous about this. I’ve literally never managed to turn my work in for a collab before, but I’m going to give it my best shot, just like I did yesterday. @imlouisaf, we can yell encouragements (or threats, depending on what works best) at each other!!

To all my writer friends, you should consider joining! Don’t lie, I know we ALL have WIPs in our closets! Let’s get rid of them together! 💪💪😎

Testing the waters.

I had an idea, based on a post I've lost somwhere, that talks about how Male OCs are simply interesting characters but if you took all of, say Bruce Wayne or Han Solo's traits and added female, the character would be decried as a mary sue.

And I was thinking about maybe running an OFC fanfic challenge. Where authors who signed up would write those stories they've been told to be ashamed of. With the long lost children, spouses, family, friends, the sassy neighbors, teamates, wedding planners, etc.

I've had several stories that I've moved to 'maybe as origfic' file b/c of this.

So, I'm curious, if I got something together for Sept/Oct (signups in August maybe?). Is there actual interest?

BTW, I'm open to all fandoms in terms of submission, AO3 makes it easy.
