@dharmascholar & I decided to design a flag for Fictasexual Pride. Someone with greater skill could make it neater.
A fictasexual is someone who is attracted to fictional characters. These characters can be from movies, books, video games, comics, manga, or anime. While sexuality as a whole is fluid, we typically don’t feel sexual attraction for real people.
It’s tough being attracted to people who don’t exist, but we do it with pride.
The colors of the Asexual flag are represented, as well as the triangle for demisexual. The black/grey/white represents the spectrum & fluidity of sexuality. The abundance of purple represents spirituality, the spirit of the idea, & the light blue represents art & magic, which make the objects of our attraction possible.
It’s not that all fictasexuals are asexual, but a large number of fictasexuals identify as ace, due to the sensitive nature (read: taboo) of the attractions they feel.
