i haven't ever really understood the hype around warrior cats... my crush in like 2nd grade used to read it and it was honestly such a bore. coming from a weird kid , btw. I know its very popular in the weird kid / therian community , I've just never caught its real appeal.. and not to metnion there are like SO MANY books and characters (I know its hypocritical , saying this as a DanganRonpa fan.. lol) i genuinely wanna know what you guys like about it! I wanna discuss with yallll

I’ve been thinking about this book that amc-Daniel wrote about the growing AIDS crisis. The back blurb says it was first published as a running series on Kaposi Sarcoma during the very beginning of the AIDS epidemic, which was before it was even called AIDS. Which means Daniel would have been in his late-20s at the time when writing about it (circa 1981). 

This means that Daniel was writing a running series for some newspaper (or maybe multiple papers) about this illness that seemed to be infecting only gay men (which is what was thought about the disease at the time - the original name for AIDS was GRID: “gay-related immune deficiency.”) Given how Daniel frequented gay bars, plus lived in both San Fransisco and New York, he might have even known a person or two who contracted it.  

If Devil’s Minion did happen in the past (and the hints even from the showrunners and cast is that it did), and it happened for the same length of time that it did in the books, then that also means Daniel was still writing, and was specifically writing a lot about this topic, even when he was entangled with Armand (and possibly Louis as well too in the show’s version of it).

The Book of Armaments

I’ve always been fascinated about Books Within Books. It started with the scene of the priests reading from the Book of Armaments in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Though Terry Gilliam did many paper cut animations, the movie never showed the pages from the actual book.

Years later, after I had learned some calligraphy and illumination, I decided to create a version of that page. But it wasn’t going to be a standard book page. It had to be a silly book page.

It was a nice representation of a 16th Squashed Bug style only I decided to use some Sandy Lion Glittery Stickers in place of the realistically painted birds and bugs. Fittingly silly, I thought.

But years later, I realized the mistake I had make. I made a 16th century book page for a movie set in 932 A.D. Although I loved my squashed bug version, I am a purist at heart. That meant I needed to create a period page from the 10th century. So I came up with this, a double page spread.

I’m happy with both versions.

Danrist Roa was on the Audea's Control Room, as typical of him, he was staying up late, beyond the ship's indicated night time, he was sitting on the captain chair...looking for any potential threat or info.

until...suddenly, he felt a touch on his left shoulder, a cold but familiar touch; he looked over to see the Garbien looking at him, his Black screen Mirroring his face, -"Master, I'll take things from here..." said Garbien, with his caring but Cold computarized Voice.

-"B-but..."- said Danrist as he tried to say something, "no buts", said The Robot, " you need to sleep well, otherwise you will Fall asleep in the next day.", continued Garbien.

He, then, grabbed Danrist by his legs and his arms, doing a...princess carry?, -"Wha-Wha??", Danrist looked flustered as his cheeks turned rosy pink, cleary highlighting his pale skin, the robot not compreenhending the situation , carried his master, to his Room... althrough he didn't understand why his master was so feverish out of a sudden.
