The more or less finished model of the Mr. Long Alien Wolf ~
What a weird creature it is! I think this is one of my favorite models I've made so far. (WIPs I shared some time ago)
These guys don't have detailed story or lore (yet?), though I shared a bit about them under one of my illustrations. With this model, I tried to shape their realistic appearance, following my idea of a very thin (it's the old idea of my world that almost all its creatures are weirdly long and thin) and alien canine-like creature, which isn't actually canine.
It's also fun to compare them to Solfshein, likely related arctic species which is much heavier and fuffier.
I love making fictional creatures, because you get to witness the beauty of Nature, and the world around you, to take pleasure in even the smallest things, to be inspired by each and every thing you see, until finally, you can create something that feels worthy of being called an imitation of the Natural world that you love so much, like a collage of that which you adore.
also you can figure out how they fuck, which is always fun.
A myth for the dwellers in villages, a bedtime story for children, and a mystery to travelers. As big as a mountain, as agile as a cat, she traverses the plains of Stellaris.
SHEEESSS DONE!!! wow Onyx posting this a week later 😭😭😭 Im so bad with posting now since im so demotivated LMFAO
Im not super proud of this? Took a bit to get to something decent, but ill get it eventually, might twrak stuff from her design and castle
Laila is Vizion's biggest pride and work, his own creation basically. A non-sentient, non-alive creature that would walk the plains of the South part of Stellaris, able to sustain the harsh pressure of the south's gravity. She carries Vizion's castle on her back, carefully around the mountains that border up most of the south from the Equator.
Shes made up from lost scraps from Lourielle's machines, or from whatever materials Vizion could find from Emory's works, using a lot of his powers and magic to make create the rest of her body and assemble everything, severely weakening him while shes walking around.
Shes not alive by any means! She might look, sound and act like an animal but thats all from Vizion's magic, specifically making her this way so he feels less alone. Laila is usually seen walking around by travelers in the valleys, and they tend to be seen as delusional due to the sheer size of her being seen as nothing but tales to scare others away from finding the rich minerals found in the mountains, but shes real alright!
To give an idea of how BIG and TALL she is, Pluto would be as tall as her legs, only a little bit wider than her due to their castle being more scattered than hers
Laila was by far one of the most difficult things ive designed, and shes still going through a few fair of changes, so this one might not be final at all 💔 sigh when will I ever finalize a design
I was gonna also draw some additonal doodles of what other stuff she could do but Ive been so busy that I couldnt so I apologise BUT I hope you enjoy this lalalalalaaaaa
A vile variant of corpse/zombie that has evolved to break into settlements and go undetected for long periods of time. Silent killers that strike when you least expect. One of the main reasons why the second outbreak was so devastating.
Remember, always lock your doors. Check under the bed, and always aim for the head.
TOTALLY wasn’t inspired by Vita Carnis’ mimics.
I was- I totally was. I love them so much-
This zombie is for my post-apocalyptic world building. Drawing a few more zombies. Will go more into the lore and even introduce the main characters eventually
My friend and I discussed that the human body looks boring and like kamon, and where are the rocks, tails and wings?? ¿? Well, after that, this girl appeared :) ✨🕷️🕸️
Okay, Everything is Trigun.
I was just reading this entry on a blog I regularly go to, Slacktivist. (American Progressive Christian / Lefty political blog). Here, author Fred Clark discusses fictional books and fictional entries in reference materials as copyright traps and how it relates to having a non-literal interpretation of the Bible. Here if you're interested in such things, but entirely skipable to my point. Trap Streets Mountweasels and Made-Up Words.
He profiled a word I'd never heard of before - one of these trap-words, something that has essentially become a real word - for a made-up creature.

an entry for the word “jungftak” which is a fanciful invention, a “Persian bird, the male of which had only one wing, on the right side, and the female only one wing, on the left side; instead of the missing wings, the male had a hook of bone, and the female an eyelet of bone, and it was by uniting hook and eye that they were enabled to fly.” That entry is fictitious because there is no such bird.
------------------------
And here I go flashing back to the end of Trigun Maximum / ending episode of Stampede where Millions Knives and Vash the Stampede are flying locked in each other's arms with one wing each...
Goddammit.
And I idily wonder if Nightow was inspired by this fictional bird, but probably not, because it is so obscure and it's copyright-trap made up for English-language dictionaries. It's probably entirely coincidental. Still...
Dammit.
