As part of my design research after I coded my app I user tested fidget.xyz I realized people used it as a meditation tool to avoid impulsive behaviors.
Wanting to expand beyond Didgets, I redirected my focus onto one of the biggest distractions in today's world- our mobile devices. She thought, what would happen if you could treat the biggest distraction and only device you carry 24/7 as a fidget device? With the help of Alex Castillo, and Josh Corn She went ahead and coded fidget.xyz where a user can tap on the screen and it will tell you the amount of fidgets you've done.
After user testing it, the feedback reminded me of an important element that was being forgotten and which is a huge component of fidgeting - proprioception: movement and spatial orientation arising from stimuli within the body itself.
