Hey Tennelle, hope you're having a lovely day. I've been watching/listening to your SCB and Drawing a Blank series for a while now and am very interested in all your characters and their stories. I was wondering what Spotty's thoughts were when she received her warrior name and realized that Hazelstar was changing her name completely. I assume she was named Raven by her parents and, considering their fates during her apprenticeship, if she was sad to see that name go. Thanks to the lore changes and us separating our story from Warriors terms, Spotty's story actually changes a bit! Not in any big, meaningful ways, but just the logistics of it. ^^'

So now, Spotty is actually born with the name Shadow. Whitebelly names her Shadow after her black fur, and in the Colonies, the Captain can give an adult either a prefix or suffix to their name. So Captain Hazelfur gave Shadow the prefix Spotted, thus making her Spottedshadow.
Either way, it still gets the same point across. Hazelfur is very literal with names, and the spots that Spottedshadow has gotten over time are still something that makes her feel like an ill-omen in her own home.
