Fighting Tournament - Meliodas X Confident!Holy Knight!Reader
Summary: Meliodas and Y/n are both entering the town tournament in hopes of seeking information, however when Y/n badly loses a fight Meliodas can’t help but feel like he’s to blame.
Warnings: Swearing, Perverted behaviour, fighting/violence.
“Next up is Meliodas and Y/n!” Helbram called out, the crowds and Vaizel cheered loudly to a point it bordered being a distraction. Y/n stood tall as she walked out onto the fighting arena with a coy smirk on her face as she grinned. Y/n was a slightly muscular girl and was (tall/average/small), she had beautiful (h/c) hair that was tied up to keep it from getting in her way.
She looked calm but with a look of unspoken determination in her e/c coloured eyes. She took a deep breath before she hummed. “It’s an honour to be able to fight you at long last, Dragon Sin of Wrath.” She spoke with a grin on her face as she bowed at him before she smiled in a childlike yet eager fashion. The adrenaline in her veins was fueling her want to fight him and to win.
Meliodas rose a brow as he watched the h/c haired woman with curiosity in his eyes. “So, you know who I am? Sorry, but I have no idea who you are.” He spoke calmly, y/n flinched and tried to not take his comment to heart too much.
“I am Y/n L/n of Vaizel, Holy Knight in charge!” She spoke in a confident tone as she held her head up with pride. “And I will be the one who comes out on top!” She spoke in a confident tone.
Meliodas rose a brow and gave a perverted smirk. “So you like to top, eh? I can work wi-”
“Not in that way, you indecent swine!” Y/n spoke as she glared at him with a look of annoyance in eyes as she scowled at him.
“Don’t let him get to you, L/n!” Howzer cheered on from the sidelines despite the fact that he himself was somewhat badly beaten up from his fight with Diane. With a glare on her face, Y/n shot Howzer a look before replacing it with a grin and a thumbs up afterwards.
Meliodas grinned to himself, glad he had made the distraction that he had before he rushed forwards and allowed for his fist to collide with Y/n’s face. Or so he thought. Much to his surprise Y/n had caught his fist despite looking away from him, she then began to twist it.
“How did you - ack!” Meliodas yelped in pain as he felt his wrist being twisted and y/n’s other fist had collided with his stomach firmly. This process continued for a while with Y/n punching his stomach repeatedly before hitting him with so much force that he had eventually flown back and his back hit and scraped off of the floor.
The cloth of his shirt had torn pretty badly and his back was revealed, it had a few small cuts on it but fortunately, it was nothing too major. He forced himself back up onto his feet but had no time to react to Y/n suddenly rushing forwards and hitting him in the chest once more, he staggered back but had enough time to grip her arm and pull her towards him. She then tried to trip him up so he’d fall but when he began to go down he pushed them around so she’d cushion his fall… in more ways than one.
Meliodas grinned as he found his head softly cushioned between her chest, Y/n stared in shock as her eyes widened before she began to squirm underneath him with a deep blush spreading across her s/c coloured features.
“Get off of me, you swine!”
“But it’s comfy!” Meliodas spoke before he grinned at her and jumped back up onto his feet, he then looked back at Diane and winked at her. “Elizabeth, you’ll have to comfort me later on, okay?” He spoke with a pout on his boyish features before he turned his attention back to Y/n.
“Let’s get this over with, eh?” Y/n asked him as she rose a brow in a confident manner as she jumped back up to her feet. However, Meliodas soon vanished from her line of sight and she began to look around in a moment of rushed panic before gasping and almost choking as she felt something roughly hit her stomach. Looking down, Y/n saw what seemed to be a purple claw and her eyes widened.
“Wh-What is that thing-!” She started but was cut off as she felt herself beginning to be hit at from all angles. It forced her to move her body as electrifying pain began to shoot through her body. She felt her bones snap and she began to cough up blood.
“Referee! You gotta stop this!” Howzer yelled as he glared at the small referee.
“Captain!” Another voice called out, this one was a lot harsher. “You gotta stop this madness!”
The last thing Y/n saw was Meliodas staring down at her, his eyes a black colour with a tint of violet to her. After that all she saw was darkness.
“Stop it!” Y/n’s voice called out as she shot up, looking around with her eyes wide. There was a constant ringing sound in her ears that made it hard for her to focus. Her heart pounded against her chest as she struggled to regain her composure, her mouth felt dry as well.
After who knows how long, Y/n finally came to her senses and looked around the room. It took her a few moments to realize that this room wasn’t hers and she furrowed her brows in frustration. “How long was I…” She murmured softly before trailing off.
Slowly, the h/c haired woman sat up and looked around as she tried to figure out just where it was she is. As soon as her foot connected to the wooden floor a pain shot through her leg and she bit down on her lip to muffle her pained sounds.
“Ah! Y/n,” a feminine voice spoke, causing her to look up and stare curiously. What Y/n saw caused her to stiffen. It was Princess Elizabeth!
“Princess Elizabeth!” Y/n exclaimed in shock as her e/c eyes widened. Without further question, she got up and kneeled down so that she was bowing. “Please forgive me for my incompetence!”
“In...competence…?” Elizabeth repeated before she rose a brow at the h/c haired woman. “N-No! Not at all! Lady Y/n you aren’t incompetent at all! I swear!” Elizabeth exclaimed in surprise as she made her way to Y/n and helped her settle down onto the bed. “Please rest, you need it! Sir Meliodas feels terrible about what he’s done!”
Y/n shot a glare at the Princess before regaining her composure and nodding. “Alright, Princess.” She spoke slowly before sighing gently. She watched in disdain as Elizabeth left but said nothing. She couldn’t disobey the Princess of course.
After a few moments, a familiar blond haired person walked into the room, he gave a boyish grin. “Heya, Y/n!” He spoke as he made his way to her and hummed. “You’re looking better today!”
“Fuck off!” Y/n exclaimed as she looked away from him in annoyance. “I don’t need your help!”
Meliodas grinned. “Sorry Y/n, but I don’t believe you. After all, you were beaten pretty badly.” He added on afterwards. His tone of voice was clearly smug and had an ‘I’m better than you,’ tone to it. In Y/n’s opinion anyway.
“Yeah, by you, jackass!” “Exactly!” Meliodas spoke before he made his way to Y/n and hugged her gently, his head resting on her chest. “I’m here to nurse you back to health!” “Pervert!”
For many turns whispers have filled the ears of Hingashi citizens; rumors of violence, darkness, depravity— a secret culmination of shadowy powers that work their hands in all manners of business throughout the whole of the One Sea. Even with the Garlean Occupancy, these families found ways to reconvene and keep their ever intangible power in place. These families, the ‘yakuza’ families of the East, found means by which not only to keep a revolving door of power in place: but also a means to orchestrate organized chaos for their very own entertainment.

From the shadows does the Mujihigi return to the world once more; a single crest that strikes a myriad of emotions into those who gaze upon it. For some, determination and excitement. For others? WHAT IS THE MUJIHIGI?
The Mujihigi is a b-monthly underground fighting event, open to all underworld/syndicate and yakuza RPers on Balmung, including those with links to gambling and trafficking. But it is more than that. The Mujihigi is a storytelling event, a story in which is open to all who want to participate!
In this fighting den, powerful criminal organizations/families and/or those with underworld ties from around the world will pit their fighters against one another for the glory of the champion’s title (Yokozuna), the riches acquired through bets (IC gil,) and for the honor of showcasing martial prowess and strength in the name of your family (This allows an FC/Group/Individual to name a champion on their behalf.)
Unsponsored Fighters will be placed within a pool of ‘potential fighters’ from the service pits (ie: loners, thieves, outcasts, prisoners who have requested freedom, indentured servants, etc) and will be ‘auctioned’ (for IC gil) to members of the Mujihigi’s many syndications to fight on their behalf for the event (a second to their own champion.) This allows lone rpers, characters who’s FC may not necessarily wish to be involved wholly, or someone who wants their character to foray through the fighting den to make those connections and gain potential reputation for their character.
Each Mujihigi consists of 9 fighters: Shin-Yokozuna (Current Champion) included and is preceded by ‘Hype Night.’
WHAT IS HYPE NIGHT?
Hype Night is an event preceding every Mujihigi that is more of a social gathering of aforementioned malignants where they mingle, place bets, make backroom deals and consider purchase of unclaimed fighters. It is a night of celebration, with performances and plenty of connections to be made.
Bets will begin on Hype Night and end as fighting starts on Fight Night!!
ARE THERE ANY PRIZES?
The person who can successfully guess the bracket results correctly (match by match, including the winner,) will receive a $25 mogstation prize of their choice. (Can be multiple items totaling to $25 as well.) || US & Canadian Residents only, excluding Quebec. No physical prizes, digital delivery, no purchase necessary.
The winner of the Mujihigi will receive a cleaned and colored sketch of their character in kesho-mawashi and haori reflecting the emblem (kamon) of their sponsor by @jeaart, to be delivered on the artist’s schedule.

Signups will begin with this post, and end on September 10th at 8pm EDT (or whenever we get the 16th signup. Make sure to sign up as quick as possible, these spots go quickly!). If we reach 16 signups before then, they will close early! If we do go over the slotted amount of spaces, we still want to include you!! So even if there are more signups than spots, you and your character will be offered a chance to fight in a Prelim-Fight for one of the available spots in the real tournament.
Any and all fighters interested will be given a chance to participate in the story, but for those lucky 8 that make it into the brackets, we will be providing custom banners! See an example below.
These banners will be posted in a separate advertisement once all prelim fights have been decided, and the brackets for the tournament becomes clear!
PLEASE make sure you are committed to seeing this through. We will be accepting only 16 fighters, and because of the structure of this tournament, the day of the Fighting could last several hours. Scheduling is key!

HOW DO I SPONSOR A FIGHTER?
It’s actually pretty easy! Sponsorship is simply bringing your organization/business into the fold and putting your IC gil up for sponsoring your fighter. These details can all be talked about in advance (or also rped out— whichever is more convenient!) A representative for your organization however must be present at both Hype Night and Fight Night. Please contact us (discord: jeaart#6354 /Bryte Darklyt#4586) for an invite to our discord server for more information!
I’M UNSPONSORED, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME?
Not a problem! Hype Night is the day where unsponsored fighters are put up to have their “fees” paid by an organization in exchange for their participation. This is a way to network, but also a way to further side stories by integrating your character with another’s in a way that may see their debt paid back either by winning, or by other tasks ordained by the sponsor. These side stories are absolutely important to have discussed OOCly, but that was what this event was for! Making stories! If you do not receive any bids, do not worry! The House will take on your sponsorship costs, and thus you will just be at the will of the Enforcers.
HOW DOES BETTING WORK?
No actual gil will be exchanged. The bets are entirely IC. Odds will be given on every fighter during the hype night. Winning wagers placed will ICly reflect these given odds in the payouts offered. When betting, please look for at betting representative at the desk or Camille Everardi during Hype Night. All bookies will have a [looking for meld] tag during hype night and will be near the desk of the event hall. You’re welcome to send a /tell or RP out the wager in the line at the betting desk with one of the bookies.
If you’d like an IC storyline to occur from a lost bet, please let us know OOCly so the House can continue the story appropriately based on the outcome if your character cannot pay for a wager that was made on credit. [Please remember all wagers are IC and no actual gil will be exchanged!]
On Hype Night we will be beginning the betting simulation! We will post a link to a google document that lets you decide your bracket based on how YOU think the tournament will go. To the person who gets it 100% correct from Round 1 to the Finals, we will be giving away 25$ in mogstation credit!! The link will be posted here after Hype Night ends, and will be kept open until fights start on Fight Night.

Ready to rumble? So this piece represents a gaming genre that was actually one of my biggest faves growing up; Still is. Basically games like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, anything where you get to kick some butt.
Considering this was a favorite genre I was out to create some amazing things with this robot and though it didn’t come out to be my favorite in the whole series I think it has so many breakthroughs and risks like the fire hair (which I don’t know why but fighting tournament games always make me think of fighter. I also manage to put “VS” on his stomach and finally managed to make it look like it was actually painted on him, and I modeled his body after a Play Station controller equipped with analog sticks. If I have any regrets I wish I didn’t give him bangs. lol but it’s not a big deal.

Next piece I hope both 80s babies and 90s babies will enjoy.
