Fun fact about Lucario: researchers don't classify them as patriarchal or matriarchal, but the female Lucario do, on average, tend to hold more power in pack dynamics than the males. This is because male Lucario VASTLY outnumber the females and, if they want a chance at passing their genes, they would have to be in the female Lucario's favor. This creates a phenomenon in pack dynamics where males may argue and disagree with each other more, but rarely ever argue with females, even if they have no interest in mating with any of them (trained social rules and all that still taking over). Male lucario are also more willing to listen to the females. You may notice your active or mischievous Lucario act calmer in front of a female or immediately back down when a female lucario (or female pokemon in general) scolds them. That's the reason why.
Another interesting phonomena this creates is the number of lucario-crossed pokemon compared with riolu/lucario crossbreeds. Hetero female Lucario tend not to struggle when picking mates because again, the males vastly outnumber them, while male hetero Lucario may struggle more. Lucario are monogomous and mate for life so there is rarely a chance they could have a chance with the female after she has a mate. Since they struggle to find female Lucario, many will end up mating with female pokemon of the same egg groups, such as Lopunny, Luxray, or Gardevoir.
