I honestly can't believe this story is complete... it's been quite a journey (a little over a year now) and it's so dear to me. Thank you to the writing community who took me under their wing, especially @chaotic-snowflake for being my beta reader for quite a bit of this, and to the amazing readers and writers I've met along the way! (I feel like I'm giving an award speech LOL but seriously y'all, I'm just so touched that I was able to get this out into the world.)

I'm by no means done writing Euluc lol even though that was such a long story... I'm just getting started ;) stay tuned lol... love you guys!!

Chapter 40 - Epilogue (Reconciliation) [Fighting Winter]

“Do I really have to do this?” “Yes,” Adelinde and Eula replied in unison. “Besides, Kaeya is already waiting upstairs,” Eula added. “Upstairs? Where—” “In your room.” “My room?” “You need to talk to him and sort things out,” Eula went on. “We’ve concluded that your memory may have some… key pieces of information missing.” “Fine.” Diluc gritted his teeth and rubbed his temple as they ascended the stairs. The truth was that he already felt awkward around Kaeya. He knew that some of his memories didn’t line up, but it was hard to fight against his instincts, which were heavily influenced by what he could recall. Despite what he could and could not remember, Diluc trusted both Adelinde and Eula with his life. They wouldn't steer him wrong, at least not intentionally. It didn’t make what he was about to do any less uncomfortable.

Author's Notes: Last chapter... I can't believe it!

Even though Diluc and Eula had their happy ending, I didn’t want to forget about our favorite supporting character through all of this, so he and Diluc get a chapter (mostly) to themselves in this epilogue! Quite fitting for Kaeya’s birthday coming up, no? ;D

Oh yeah, and just in case it's a trigger for you, there are a few... colorful words in here. (What else did you expect from the ragbros talking to each other? lol)

Chapter 27 - Shift (Fighting Winter)

“Wait, what?! That's so romantic--” “Shh, not so loud,” Eula gently reminded her roommate, giving her a nudge, cheeks flushed red. They laid side by side on their stomachs in bed, legs folded in midair. Amber could barely contain her excitement at the details, or what Eula told her at least.  “Sorry. It's just- I’m so excited for you! I never thought Master Diluc could be like that…”

Thanks for your patience and for continuing to read 🤗 this summer has been extremely busy for me 🥲 I haven't stopped thinking about this story though, as you've probably seen on this blog. I still plan to continue! It's also coming up on one year since this story entered my brain and decided to live rent-free in my brain lol. Hope you enjoy the chapter! 🩵❤️

“My apologies, Miss Lawrence. This is not what it looks like.”

“Care to elaborate on what you said earlier?”

“Ah, yes. I’ve heard of your vengeance. I’ll gladly take it."

“And what exactly do the matters of the Knights have to do with me?”

“Absolutely not. You are not wearing that downstairs.”

“In any case, even though you were the one who got hurt and needed saving… you actually saved me.”

“At least I have enough sense to sleep in a bed when there's one available.”

“There was a considerable amount of Abyss activity around the winery last night… it might not be wise to linger outside.”

“If we hadn't met up there, if I hadn't done what I did… then we wouldn't be like this, right now. Do you regret that?”

“If you're not with me, you're just in my way.”

“I’m… sorry… I- I didn't mean to-”

“I can’t protect the people I care about. I only end up hurting them in the end.”

“I mean, how can the Knights function properly when half of them aren't even physically here? Not to mention the cavalry. How is Kaeya even a Cavalry Captain without a cavalry? It's laughable.”

“Welcome to Angel’s Share. May I offer you something to drink?”

“He would have still accepted you, Kae. Loved you.”
