7. What about your character still remains a mystery to you?
I don't know that much is a mystery for me in regards to her characterization. I think the only real mystery here is how I transition her from one place in her life to the next? It's figuring out the incremental differences as she grows. How many times does it take her to learn something? Does she dig her heels in or readily accept change? So knowing when to update her characterization because of her experiences within the story.
14. What thought or memory is your character aching to share with someone but for whatever reason, never has had the chance?
She'd like to feel comfortable enough with someone to share how angry and heartbroken she's been all these years over her father's death. She mourns him not just because he's dead, but because of the circumstances leading up to his death. To share something that painful feels like a burden, and as much as she'd like to she will probably not bring it up unless someone asks first.
21. Who does your character think about when they want to feel safe?
Her mother. A lot of Frankie's public persona is her mom just bumped up to 11. Her mom kept her safe as a kid and the ideation of her mom keeps her safe now.
