Appreciation of Being A Filipino
I am a proud Muslim-Filipino because of our rich and wonderful culture, colorful heritage and being optimistic towards life. Working overseas and seeing my fellow Filipino co-workers who are known for their hospitality and generosity towards others despite of their race and nationality, makes me even proud more. I have been seeing my kababayans that are able to smile even though we are having a bad time, but still positive in every situation especially here in the hospital setting. Many of us here have gain recognition for their hard works. As an overseas Filipino worker, I am proud to have a good heart. I am willing to sacrifice and work hard for my family, that fact that I am doing it now and the same goes for others. I am proud because we are hardworking and responsible for our families. Being smart kind and resourceful in every situation in life. Along with that, there are more and more reasons to be proud of being a Filipino. I had watched some news of our fellow Filipino being recognized in foreign countries. For instance, representative of the Philippines had won several international contests. May it be to pageantry, film making, and artistic performances. In line with “Bayanihan”, what I am being proud of is despite of calamities we are facing right now, we, Filipinos still get up and put smiles on our faces. I felt very proud more so during tough times such as what we are going through. Beyond this, we have shown that we are compassionate, selflessly eager and always ready to help anybody in need. This makes me proud to be Filipino!
