Bruce Conner Cover from the legendary January, 1966 Trips Festival program at the Longshoreman’s Hall in San Francisco.

This 3 night event was the first true psychedelic event in the bay area, and included an Acid Test and performances by the Grateful Dead and Big Brother and the Holding Company. This event preceded all Fillmore and Family Dog numbered-series concerts which began the next month. Inside it says, "Produced in Association with Bill Graham." Wes Wilson and Peter Bailey get credits in there, too, as do their printing companies, Contact and East Wind. The Grateful Dead are mentioned exactly once inside, listed with many others, really driving home the point of how early this was in their career.
