I like that we have learned that Kasuga did learned this lesson in earlier interview. And it's not like he is saying this as an insult. It's just that Kasuga felt it was a prerequisite to be treated fairly by everyone else.
Hasegawa understands the reason, it's just he doesn't have the same need as Kasuga.

He finally figured it out. Better late than never, I guess.
I think I have never cheered so hard for a couple to break up this month. This was a long time coming and Kasuga has been beating on that dead horse for a while now. At least, he finally gave up.
It was literally the worst reason to commit / get married. Kasuga was like one of those with "I can change them" energy 🙃
