As a person who grew up extremely lost, I have been passionate about finding a purpose. Coincidentally, last couple of days this phrase has been coming back to me different ways “ finding a purpose”.
It’s only now that I’m realizing I have been asking the wrong question or everybody has been asking the wrong question . The question is not “ What is my purpose?” But rather “ is it necessary to have a purpose?” Or “ Do I even need a purpose?”.
I think life as it is given to us does not demand purpose because no matter what you do time does not stop life goes on and you keep becoming the person you choose to become.
Our society has associated finding a purpose with happiness , very often purpose is something that keeps you busy that keeps you engaged and that keeps you going. But it doesn’t have to be that way we are sent to this earth to exist, and the art of living is to be able to involve an existence without it burdening upon our self.
If we did not carry the weight of” finding a purpose” maybe we wouldn’t be so lost. Maybe we wouldn’t be so exhausted only maybe then we can sit down and look at the passing clouds and feel at ease with our existence.
