This flannel-bound edition of Jack London’s The Call of the Wild was published in 1960 by the Limited Editions Club.  The cover’s pretty fuzzy, but inside there are beautiful, evocative illustrations by Henry Varnum Poor that complement London’s harrowing text.

I thought I’d go with a nice fine press book today.  This 1938 copy of The Song of Roland is beautifully bound and printed, and the hand-illuminated illustrations make each copy unique.
