my finger tips morphed their fingerprints after a shower

So, you all remember how a few months ago I cut the tip of my finger off? I have an update.

The finger is healing quite nicely and to the naked eye you wouldn’t be able to see the difference. But of course, you can see the scar up close (and my once pristine fingerprint is shot to hell) and I do sometimes get phantom numbness at the tip when I over use it.

But what I didn’t mention is that I have accident insurance and just going to the doctor allowed me a payout of 250 bucks, which will be my portion of our first month’s rent.

Now, I know that there is a lesson that I need to learn from this, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
