I said i was gonna blog every month.. yet here i am 3 months late from my first blog post. 😅

Anywhooooo... I don't know about y'all, but i have been absolutely wiped. between work and the way this world is working right now, I've been purely just trying to survive. I'm trying to find the good in things, the little moments of pure happiness and bliss, but I am so utterly exhausted that at times it feels impossible. I'm tired, but i don't wanna go into a sob story situation, so here's some of the good I've found in the last few months. <3

What I've Been Up To:

Updated Selfies: I made my dream alt girl hair come to life. As someone who is extremely attached to their hair, this was a DRASTIC change for me. But boyyyyyyyy do i LOVE it! I'd been dreaming of getting a shag/mullet haircut for the past 2-3 years and I would always talk myself out of it. Well, I finally ripped the band aid off and I have never felt more hot, more myself, more fucking badass. 10/10 decision.

2. I've been trying to take myself on more solo dates (per my vision board), and I found this really good restaurant called Good Morning Kitchen in the Vegas area! They have these phenomenal barbacoa benedicts that are packed with so much flavor and heat that I literally dream of them now lol. Plus, both times I've gone, they've played the Twilight movies at the bar! That was an automatic win in my books (although one of the bartenders said they were Team Jacob.. disgraceful lmao!).

3. New Tee Designs: Made some cute little kewpie devil designs (i have one more that isn't pictured) that I wanna throw in the shop here soon. I love these so much lol.

4. I've been hardcore thrifting for awhile now, and these are some of my favorite finds, along with some things that weren't thrifted but I found cool.

This cool lampshade paired with a stained glass lightbulb gives our living room the perfect ambiance.

This really cute top I found, which I pinned with a thrifted butterfly pin to give it an off the shoulder vibe.

I FOUND THE HOLY GRAIL OF ALL THRIFT FINDS! I've been hunting for the entire collection of A Series of Unfortunate Events books, and someone got rid of a huge chunk of what I needed to finish my search! Now I only need four more books. Yes, I could have bought these online somewhere, but it's so much more fun hunting for things in the wild lol. Not to mention much cheaper.

Tell me this JoJo figurine isn't cunty as fuck! My husband bought it for me cause I couldn't get over how hot it was lol (i haven't even made it to whatever season this is haha!)

These three books weren't thrifted, but I did find them in this really cool book store here in Vegas called The Writer's Block. You guys. They have bunnies in their shop (i don't particularly like rabbits, but i thought it was cool lol)! It gave me very Alice in Wonderland vibes, as it was long and winding and their book sections were filled with amazing finds.

Music:

According to Youtube Music, my vibes for the first quarter of the year have been Sad, Chill, & Reflective. Which I guess, yeah that fits lol. I DID however finally not have Dance Gavin Dance (do not come for my neck guys, i know the lore. i know) as my top artist. Omar Apollo finally outranked them!

TV/Movies:

Mare Fuori (The Sea Beyond): I'VE NEVER BEEN SO INVESTED IN AN INTERNATIONAL SHOW THE WAY I'M INVESTED IN THIS ONE BEFORE!!!!! I usually don't watch shows in other languages ONLY because I'm usually drawing when I watch tv, and I can't draw and read subtitles at the same time, and I refuse to listen to the dubbed version cause they usually sound ridiculous lol. But I saw a clip of this on TikTok and I just HAD to watch it. They actually just put it on Netflix last week and I haven't stopped watching it since.

My favorite characters are definitely Cardigotrap, he's such a sweetheart, yet tortured soul and each season you see him harden his heart more and more and it hurts me. Pino also grew on me, purely cause that boy is with the shits lol. Like loyal to a fucking t and always ready to fight for his friends! And watching him learn how love whether that be with Fillipo and Carmine, or with Kubra (who is also a badass in herself and her storyline broke me) has been fun. Edoardo is also a favorite, cause you can tell he's really just a romantic (a whore, maybe, but a romantic nonetheless). Has he made dumb life choices, absolutely, and I'm really hoping he comes out of it in season four (pls no spoilers!). Don't get me started on Carmine. I JUST WANT HIM TO BE FREE WITH HIS DAUGHTER AND TO FIND LOVE AGAIN WITH ROSA! I'm not asking for much you know.

This show has been nothing short of dramatic and enticing and I'm sad I'm almost finished with it already. I'll definitely keep it in my rotation of shows that I'll frequently rewatch.

This has been the main new thing that I have watched aside from a couple of new movies that we went to theaters to see (Mickey 17 which I already ranted about in a previous post, and Sinners, which I really did enjoy but won't get into right now as it's super fresh in theaters and don't want to spoil anything for anyone!)
