The fact that they still, now claim that it was about John making a sexual joke, like they haven’t themselves said and/or encouraged far more sexual stuff about Rey is... really some kind of impressive.

I mean, if there were as many “Finn is Bi” posts as there are “Poe is Gay” posts most of us wouldn’t mind lol. The problem is that fandom takes every aspect about Finn and make it all about Poe, and that’s up to and including his sexuality. It’s even more obvious when you go on Ao3 and see more fanfics with Poe/MaleOC or Poe/Muran but you hardly see anything that ships Finn with someone other than Poe or Rey, gay or not. It’s almost like Finn doesn’t exist outside of them, Poe especially lol.

and to say it’s compulsive het and completely ignore the racial aspect of this whole thing is troubling. The way parts of the finnpoe fandom ignore, erase, and treat finn is a further reflection on the entirety of the fandom itself but it’s especially bad if his most popular ship barely even bothers to explore who he is or manage to give a shit about him.

So apparently an ant had decided to screenshot my post here. And honestly I just found their comeback to be hilarious. 

They wanna call out racism and make the fandom a safer place, and yet so far they’ve already harassed an artist and thrown around false accusations of racism over something as petty as a height difference. Then preceded the throw around racial slurs, like c**n to the person who defended the artist. And then ordered a strike of anonymous hate on that person. 

And you think you’re the ones calling out racism and makin the fandom a safer place? Well I got news for you idiots: YOU’RE DOING THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!!!

You’re not combating racism, you’re literally just throwing around that term every time someone says or does something involving Finn or John that you don’t like. And you’re obsessive insults and harassment is just making the fandom a more hostile place.
