i can’t stop thinking about odesta x the good place. oh the urge to write a one shot.

i need to be heard out on this. odesta is so eleanor and chidi coded and it can be both ways and i want to scream about it.

SCREAMS

in the sense here that, annie is ready to leave, she’s seen her world and had her taste both good and bad, like chidi despite all her love and whag she receives her time is up, her purpose has been served. she is satisfied, she feels loved and complete.

then we jump to finnick..a finnick who isn’t ready. who finally has everything he wants in the palm of his hand, the love of his life and safe place to live, he’s got everything he wants in life, but she is ready to go. like eleanor he feels selfish for abating to keep her, but he’d never had a chance at real love.

i have just had a terribly awful and sad thought in my head about odesta. and jts kinda an au but also it’s not bcs the au in where they’d be the characters are kinda tbem coded and im just putting tbem in their places and ive made myself cry.

♫ I went to a jazz bar the other day with live music and now i want to associate thg characters with the vibe there and what i think they would do (modern au) ♫

annie cresta - annie would be the one to organise it ! she would find the most aesthetic jazz bar that has soft lighting and the most funky cocktails there is. she would know all of the songs and would sit there with a cute drink (she made finnick get too) and would sing and dance along at the table all night !! her and peeta sing a lot of the songs together for the whole night and sing lines interchangeably.

finnick odair - he loves jazz too (mainly because of annie!) but he will go anywhere his wife wants to go. they get matching cocktails (finnick secretly loves them) and he definitely belts out all the songs and would pretend annie is his audience. he never wants to leave and he claps for the live bands after ever song.

johanna mason - does not want to be in a jazz bar. wishes they were in an indie/rock club. or that she was the one on stage playing the guitar, because she IS a guitar player (it’s how she pulls the ladies). she’s disappointed when she finds out all the drinks have silly names but then annie shows her one that has a guitar name and she drinks it all night.

peeta mellark - loves live music especially with smaller bands and he definitely would listen to jazz when he bakes so it’s like perfect. (katniss definitely showed him so much music so he could find his taste). he’s more than happy to come out to a jazz bar! he loves a mocktail and definitely tries to work his way through all the different types. annie hypes us his singing to katniss.

katniss everdeen - definitely in her element but keeps herself to herself. she sits and nods along at the table singing the songs. peeta wishes everyone would hear her on the stage but she’s not one for a big performance, but by the end of the night she’d be up singing with peeta as the bar gets quieter.
