Air Auckland 361/R1 [Scania P310 pumper 4x2] lights and sirens up Puhinui Rd yesterday.
It is exceedingly rare to see the AIAL fire brigade on public roads, and even then, it's usually Air Auckland 3633 or 34 [Ford Rangers] on a supply run to Woolworths.
I haven't the faintest as to what the crew were attending as they returned around 5 minutes later. Police 1 was operating southwest of the approach to runway 23L simultaneously, but seemingly, this was unrelated.

As part of the celebrations. Vehicles from multiple brigades were displayed at the Cloud Convention Centre and the surrounding area. Also in attendance was the RNZAF, St. John's, civil defence, USAR.

MoTaT's International Harvester CO8190 seen on display at this year's Fire and Emergency Live Day.
New to the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board (later incorporated into New Zealand Fire Service, NZFS), this CO8910 sports a cab built by Cincinnati Cab Co, a Darley snorkel ladder and was apparently assembled by Apex Motor Bodies in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Unlike the other snorkels in Tāmaki Makaurau, the CO8190 was comparatively smaller and was thus dubbed the "Baby Snorkel" in service.
