I finally am getting around to playing Horizon: Zero Dawn, and so far I am really loving it! So far I have nothing but good things to say; the controls are simple but satisfying to execute, the world design is gorgeous, and the machines are so incredibly cool.
Also, it has a photo mode, which is something I wish every game had and could literally spend hours in. Here are a few shots from my first few hours with the game!

okay so, the other day i was playing hzd and i had overridden a broadhead and was riding to another location. anyways, somehow WITHOUT REALISING I RAN INTO A FIRE BELLOWBACK AND SOMEHOW DIDN’T SEE IT. completely unprepared, i ditched my broadhead and went to hide in the long red-topped grass/plant thingies - well i gathered myself together and started attacking the fire bellowback, thinking i could handle it. i finally kill this thing and then my broadhead’s override times out and it begins attacking me - again caught completely off guard. i manage to kill it and i’m minding my own business sorting through the remains of the machines picking out what i want and what i don’t when TWO FUCKING SCRAPPERS SNEAK UP ON ME FROM BEHIND AND BEGIN ATTACKING ME. i was literally like - death is here, but somehow i managed to spam L2 and killed them both and i was just stood there surrounded by the carcasses of these machines like I AM THE MAN and to this day i have no idea how i did it but YAY FOR DUMB LUCK lmao.
(from top to bottom the machines are a fire bellowback, a broadhead and then a scrapper - for those who’ve never played the game - you totally should btw)
