The 12 Overlord Sovereigns (A Buck and his Doe)
K, so obviously there are some new overlords in my Hazbin Hotel AU. I do think there is a minimal hierarchy within the overlord system, which is why Prick and Hatchet aren't included. Because you have, Sinners like Angel, Travis, Ember, etc. Then you have minimal overlords like Prick and Hatchet, and possibly Carmilla's daughters (yes, I count them a little lower because they are her daughters) then the sovereigns like Carmilla, Maestro, Alastor, Rosie, and then finally the elite or retired ex: Zestial and Valentine. So here are the Sovereigns (In no particular order)
Alastor (The Radio Demon): He died in 1933 and gained power as soon as he arrived in hell; no one knows how. highly sadistic, as well as narcissistic, with an unsettling Cheshire grin. Took down a bunch of overlords who reigned in hell for centuries. He controls the Radio Waves across hell, enjoying his broadcasts. He has been married to The Melody Demon since 1928 and resided in The Shadow's Market with his wife. He disappeared for 7 years before returning and claiming a vacancy in the Hazbin Hotel. He highly dislikes The TV Demon and Lucifer, the King of Hell, seeing himself above them. Felicity (The Melody Demon): She died in 1938, gaining power from her alliances with overlords like Rosie, Valentine, and Carmilla. She is the female counterpart to her husband, The Radio Demon, less cheerful than him, but no less dangerous. She is graceful and cold, but gentle to those close to her. While not looking like it, she is the definition of the doe and siren motif...literally. She's gifted in song, controlling haunting melodies across hell, to make her presence well known. She is the ruler over the Shadow's Market, a place full of the darkest magic users, running a teashop in her spare time. She's collaborated with Alastor and even the Queen of Hell, Lilith, on her melodies. She went vacant when Alastor disappeared, wallowing in grief, and now currently resides in the Hazbin Hotel, keeping an eye on Charlie. Valentine (Retired Overlord & Original Vee): Valentine is the older sister of Valentino, having died in the 1960s. She was the one who originally created the Adult film district, but was less angry and less foolish than her younger brother when it came to how she treated her souls (Angel was originally hers, but when wanting to retire, she passed all her souls down to her younger brother). She regrets handing the district over as she sees the Vees as rude and inappropriate when it comes to how they handle her souls and district. She currently resides in the Shadow's Market, owning a small aphrodisiac chocolate shop as a way to enjoy the rest of her eternity. She'll occasionally check in with her brother, and it usually leads to a stiletto up his ass for being the cause of Angel's pain.
Madame (The Weaver Demon): Madame is a bubbly individual, as well as kind, believing in "the customer is mostly right," saying, dying in the early 2000s with her 2 younger sisters, Voila and Salut. While most expect to be someone who owns a clothing boutique to be with the times, Madame says otherwise, preferring Vintage and going back in Time, which is how she gained her power, earning deep respect and admiration from most all overlords who prefer to stay true to their eras, as well as other sinners who wish for the same thing, usually Voila will take care of sewing for sinners, but Madame herself will take that responsibility in tailoring the desired outfit from a fellow overlord. No one knows if Madame and her sisters are sisters or one person due to their full demonic form, becoming a cerberus esc creature. Maestro (The Operatic Demon): Maestro died in the late 1700s to the early 1800s, being an appreciator of music and tranquillity, getting along with Overlords like Felicity and Zeezi. Not much is known about him, his main power being pyrokenisis, which is the ability to wield and control fire. However, this doesn't deter him from being a well-known and respected overlord of hell. Missy Zilla(Zeezi) (The Partyhouse Demon): Missy Zilla or Zeezi is very well known for her parties and upbeat spirit. She is a giant and can manipulate her size at will. She runs a night club which gets a lot of patrons. Not much has been explored about Zeezi, her power having a techno soundwave look. As well as being a noticable presence in any room she enters.
Carmilla Carmine (Weapons Dealer and presumed leader of the Sovereigns): Carmilla is a powerful figure in hell, owning a massive sector like Rosie and The Vees. She presumably died in the late 1800s along with her husband (Unnamed) and daughters Clara and Odette. Finding power and popularity quick when she had the guts to begin collecting and testing angelic steel, and creating alliances with overlords like Zestial and Felicity. She has a deep friendship with Zestial, who is by her side constantly. As I said, Carmilla, for where she hosts the meeting, and holds a certain presence and possible superiority among the other sovereigns hosting meetings in her district, and being the one to hold the discussions, not to mention having the respect of the oldest overlord in hell. She is proud and highly protective of her friend and daughters, and is willing to lend a hand as she sees fit. Zestial (Retired Overlord): Zestial, being known to have died in the 1600s, is the oldest overlord and possibly the oldest sinner in hell, as we have yet to see someone older than him who wasn't heaven or hellborn. Despite being retired and considering himself too old to fight for territory, he still, to this day, manages to strike fear into the hearts of sinners, likely happy with the place he has in hell and proud of his accomplishments in his prime. He is allied with Carmilla, a trusted and resourceful friend, saying he will stay at her side as long as she does what he believes to be the right choice. He is not a particular fan of the Vees (Minus Valentine), seeing them as brash, foolish, reckless, and stupid. Which, to be honest, is fair coming from him, as Zestial is quite wise; however, he seems to have a level of respect for the rest of the overlords. Rosie (Leader of the Cannibals): Rosie is likely the only hellborn overlord on the list. She and her colony are a native species, as last confirmed. She is quite cheery and a very polite host. She is full of whimsy and charm or as she likes to call it Razamataz. She is close friends with the two deer overlords, Alastor and Felicity, being quite close and her preferred company for reasons no one can figure out. Her district is likely the only truly peaceful place in hell. She's fair, wise, and always eager for a deal, being clever with how she makes them. She is also a good ally to Charlie Morningstar, the Princess of Hell, adopting an aunt-like figure in Charlie's eyes. Such a sweetheart, and a steadfast leader to her kind. She used to run her emporium with someone named Franklin, which was either her husband or a good friend of hers.
Velvette (Overlord of Social Media): Velvette is the youngest overlord, having come into hell in the 2010s. She is a bit of a brat, and very self acclaimed, the "it's my way or the highway" type. Her biggest rivals are Carmilla and Madame, as well as Zestial, seeing them and likely the rest of the overlords as old. She runs social media, bringing hellphones into existence. She cares a lot about her appearance, changing clothes and hairstyles multiple times a day based on her mood and what she's doing. Although she has developed a possible friendship with Alastor and Felicity. But nonetheless is loyal and besties with her dad figures, Vox and Valentino. Her phone and witchcraft abilities are her main weapons. She is the main Fashion empire, making the trends, not following them. She won't admit it to anyone, but since seeing one of Felicity's souls, 'Ember Phoenix,' a fire phoenix demon, she's been a little smitten, stealing glances whenever she was around. Vox (The TV Demon): Having died in the 1950s, literally by a TV landing on his head. He is narcissistic and VERY insecure. But, holding a mask constantly, he sees himself as a god. And puts himself before his teammates. He's also very cocky, and that often blinds his common sense. He also has a love for Sharks, owning a big one named Shok. Wav, multiple little ones, and is literally part shark. He HATES Alastor because Alastor rejected his offer to be a partner in business and possibly more. Envying everything Alastor is, confident, swave, and...in an actually balanced and healthy relationship. So he will do anything in his power to diss on him, humiliate him, and rake him through the mud. He cares for his partners Valentino and Velvette to an extent, holding them at arms length, preferring to have his way with most things, and thrives on the approval of others. Valentino (The Adult Films Demon aka Pimp): Val...is a kinky asshole and makes it 3/4ths of his personality. Another "my way or the highway" guy, like his partners. He does genuinely care for Vox and Velvette, you just wouldn't see it under all his errors of arrogant. He is dead scared of his older sister; she's bigger, faster, and that stiletto hurts, so he doesn't abuse Angel or any of his employees....when she's around. When she isn't around, he will use them however he sees fit. He has nightmares about his sister and one of Alastor's little minions; they terrify him. He does pride himself in his art; however, he thinks he's pretty dang good. He aids Velvette in making a love potion, using... his spit. Yeah, his spit has drug attributes in it. On the outside, he seems swave and seductive, but on the inside, he has an extremely short temper and prefers violence as an outlet. He likes to piss off his boyfriend by throwing things at him, and feeding Shok.Wav them good tendies. He's very demanding and petty, and no one likes being around him when it shows to his fullest.
