My random headcanon is that Alastor's favorite musical is Annie (and this also ties into his love of Christmas). Nobody expected him to have interests outside of murder and aren't quite sure what to make of it.

Like I am just imagining that it's his turn for movie night and everyone was expecting him to put on the most gore filled slasher film imaginable meanwhile he's just kicking his feet in excitement and this is almost more weird to them than if he put on a Saw movie or something. Especially as it slowly dawns on them that he is not playing a bit and is 100% genuine about loving it... Except for Charlie who is immediately just as invested and is happy to be supportive of his non-murdery interests.

(I also like to headcanon that Al spent some time as an orphan after his mom died, so "small orphan child is adopted by rich man and they live happily ever after that's it nothing bad happens no abuse just wholesome adventures" is kind of a wish fulfillment fantasy for him but he'd never admit that even to himself let alone others.)

It is so funny that you say that because one of the core inspirations for Alastor’s character was the song ‘You’re never fully dressed without a smile’ from Annie.

Viv used it in a voice Headcanon video for Alastor way back in 2015. And she even found Amir by finding a bootleg of him singing it on YouTube.

So I absolutely think it’s very fitting for the musical that played a part in his character to be his favorite!

With Vox and Alastor’s deaths showing that that their demon form has something to do with their death, I have some fun theories for other characters:

Valentino: Hit with a bug zapper by one of his ‘girls’

Velvette: dismembered after being stalked from a fan

Husk: alcohol poinsoning and dying in an alley (Alley cat)

Angel: drug overdoes in an abandoned building (cobwebs and spiders)

Cherry: bomb explosion (one eye got destroyed by debris)

Nifty: shot due to stalking (bullet holes on dress)

Pentious: snake bite or using venom for experiment and got poisoned

Baxter: experimenting on piranhas and fell in

So I just found some interesting development lore related to Chaggi(e).

First off, I've heard some criticisms about how the couple is supposedly "boring" or "flat" in its official depiction, or how Charlie and Vaggi don't "act" like a couple, or how the pairing seems "shallow". First off, I don't really buy those criticisms, but anyway, I learned how Chaggi came to be canonized via a statement Vivziepop made during the early days of Hazbin. Quoted from the creator herself, via her old Tumblr account 7/19/2019:

In layman's terms, Chaggi(e) wasn't planned to be canon at first, but some storyboard artists liked the pairing and shipped them, and Viv thought "sure, why not?"

Basically, it's like those moments in other media where the writer accidentally made the perfect queer couple without intending to (see: WrightWorth from Ace Attorney, Whispangle from Sonic, Abstragedy from Digital Circus, and many more), except this specific creator caught on and decided to run with it.

I just really like this piece of lore, and I feel like it would make for good conversation. Plus, it's Chaggi(e) related, and I love Charlie and Vaggie together, so just... yeah.

my predictions for Niftys backstory

ok sorry if I use bad grammer I just want to write my thoughts down

Ok so I think Nifty was a Japanese immigrant coming to America. I think her family was probably kinda toxic telling her the best thing she can do is find a American husband and become a housewife, and so she did. I think she was obsessed up with the idea of being "the perfect wife" making sure everything was clean and perfect for her husband however I dont think her husband was a good person he probably disregarded her actions and bad mouthed her to others only leading her to push herself further thinking she's not good enough. I think her husband cheated on her multiple times until one day......she snapped after seeing her husband cheat on her (probably with no shame) she killed him with a knife STAB STAB STAB (kinda like she did to Adam) I also think she might have killed the other women too. I remember seeing a early hazbin hotel comic showing her saying "d-did I kill them" or "what have I done?!" That's what I think her thoughts were after killing them or him idk she was in shock kinda going insane. I think somehow the police was called on her and after resisting arrest she was shot 3 times (as shown on her hell form)

I think once she landed in hell she was scared,confused and probably more insane than ever there I think she met Alastor when she was scared on the street probably called insane by others but Alastor kinda saw the good in her (like since there is a popular theory Alastors dad abused/killed his mom I think he kinda understood her in a way) I think Alastor looked after/defended Nifty. I think Nifty may have helped Alastor too like as a distraction they were like kinda a duo. Another theory I have is that Alastor made a deal with Nifty however not a malicious one like his with Husk one to protect her Nifty probably felt very thankfull for Alastors protection (shes never really been appreciated before ,especially by a guy) So she took this deal without thinking I think she still feels indepted to Alastor and probably doesn't see alastor as malicious and as we see she kinda confused when Husk isn't as eager to help Alastor when he could be in trouble probably thinking Husk should be grateful for Alastor, kinda projecting how others told her she should worship her husband and be indepted towards him for even choosing her. Also I think Alastor told her to like intensely stare at cameras if she sees them kinda like how Alastor glitches if on camera (alastor projecting his hate for new technology onto Nifty lol) Oh and also I just had a thought what if Niftys husband just sat around all day watching TV, telling her to go make him a sandwich and stuff like that never wanting Niftys affection. So Alastor and Nifty both hate that damn TV lol.

Anyways wow I wrote a lot tried harder on this than my school work (probably because I had more passion for this lol) anyways maybe consider reposting to help boost my theory <3 <3

The visual language is doing a lot of quiet work here. The hair gradients alone are telling; Lilith shifts blonde to pink, Roo shifts brown to red. Pilot-era Lilith’s red sclera with white irises mirrors (old design) Roo’s eyes almost exactly. Then there’s Rosie’s Emporium reading as R.E. → “Root (of all) Evil,” which feels intentional. In the pilot photos, “Lilith’s” gaze toward Charlie reads as disapproving: cool, appraising, almost clinical. The expressions lacks familiarity or reassurance & suggests lack of attachment. I’m increasingly convinced that Roo (whether manifesting as Rosie, Eve, or some overlap of the three) is Charlie’s actual mother. The visual overlap isn’t subtle; the image of Lilith wearing the same dress as Rosie? Hello?

"L'enfer" _ og Vaggie tribute Fanart: Vaggie/Vagatha/Hazbin Hotel (spindlehorse studio/Vivziepop/Amazon) So, as far as I understood watching some old Vivziepop drawings, apparently she originally was a demon, not an angel, and she went to hell because she committed suic1de (which was considered a sin few years ago in catholicism) hanging herself to escape the bullying or something like that. It was very dark, but I think it would have been a good way to criticize the sorting of souls between heaven and hell, to talk about how sometimes victims were sent to hell, not just executioners. What do you think?
