thinking about The Revolutionary Firebrand on this fine morrow. in general but also what he means to me in the Drakonaverse specifically.

to me he's like. this guy is Change. his theme is upheaval and transformation and defiance of the status quo and you can see that in him being a revolutionary, obviously, but also in his association with fire and alchemy toxicology. transformation. transmutation. they said irrigo cannot be tamed but he tamed it. something something taming the flames of irrigo at the cost of parts of his self being gouged out something something his Prometheus Coding. weirdly even running away from his wife kind of fits into that, something something rejecting the framework of Marriage that says a husband has duties to his wife and must be by her side.

idk there's just something really fun to me about how every major story element of him feeds back into the same theme and how much he embodies it. when he loses parts of his memory he goes "alright, guess I didn't need those anyway". You And I Have Been Reforged In The Fires Of Irrigo. he's an instigator, he's the moving force behind riots and bombings, he's an inventor, he's the catalyst agent you add to start a chemical reaction. both the "Revolutionary" and the "Firebrand" parts of his title echo change.
