Another fun fact: According to Nick Brendon, Joss had originally written the part of Captain Mal from Firefly for him, but due to Fox moving up the shooting schedule, they gave the part to Nathan Fillion instead

I saw Nathan Fillion in a local improv show once (he grew up in my hometown). When the actors were not onstage, they sat in the front row of the audience, and I was sitting in the second row. So, the whole time, Nathan was sitting one row ahead of me, and slightly to my left. Like, I wouldn't even have had to lean in order to reach over and ruffle his hair with my fingers.

I didn't of course, because that would have been CREEPY, and probably gotten me thrown out of the show.

But I COULD have....
