Salty tears wet her face and silent sobs trembled her shoulders gently. Annie sat hunched on her bed, her knees by her face.
"Annie?"
Annie shot up, her makeup smeared down her face with her eyes swollen and red. Allegany stood in the doorway stiffly, staring at Annie with an expression of concern. Annie wasn't sure if Allegany had ever seen her cry before.
"You... You found her, didn't you? While you were gone..." Allegany almost whispered.
Annie nodded, rubbing her eyes with a fist. Allegany moved immediately, floating towards her to wrap her strong arms around Annie. Annie didn't hold her back at first, but the more Allegany embraced her, the more grateful she was. Annie wrung her arms around Allegany, pressing her face into her neck. She felt Allegany kiss her jaw gently, her warm breath warming her face. Annie pressed herself closer to her.
