How well do we know each other?: I would say there’s not much me or you haven’t seen or heard about each other by now. And I trust that our frequent talks are quite honest.

Do you have a pet name for me?: Mhh... not really, I prefer to come up with new ones every time whenever I feel silly enough. 

Do I have a pet name for you?: Not one you’d say out loud I suppose.

Are you attracted to me?: Let’s see: a smart man with a strong heart that is mostly level headed and reasonable, not to mention a strong shinobi with a body to match and lastly even has a handsome face? This is a no-brainer.

Why do you want to marry me?: Aside from what I just put down a point above. I believe you’re also a good man and that you’ll do the clan and our family good, you have a genuine heart and... you’re one of few I trust to be able to put up with me.

Big wedding or Small wedding?: Considering your position in the clan? There is no such thing as a small wedding, even if it would be clan only. 

Do you see children in our future?: I see two boys who are already glaring at you for daring to touch this form. Which is frankly quite amusing.

With a small smirk on her face, she pushes the paper atop of @fire-hearted-father ‘s work and leans against his desk.

Too busy looking over his shoulder, the six-year old misses someone stepping in front of him. Slamming against them he falls back on his butt and groans at the impact. After a second he realizes the ramen cups he stole had spilled on  the ground. 

Crap, crap!

The store owner’s shouts are a few steps behind him. Naruto tries to grab as many ramen cups as he can before scrambling to his feet in order to make a dash for it. 

“Stop that brat,” he hears the angry shop owner yell.

Mother’s silent as well-- prompting him to grow suspicious. It could be that she doesn’t want to startle her husband with crying, or questions about where he’s been, or what’s happened to him. It could be the shift to try to mimic what life was before he left-- a coping mechanism to prevent from having to process the entire situation all at once. 

Either way, Itachi doesn’t like it, though for his own personal reasons. Sasuke won’t know how to react. Seeing Fugaku back, and not only  back but visibly permanently injured, and showing fatigue...Sasuke will panic.

Itachi doesn’t think about how selfish the thought is, that he’d rather focus on how Sasuke would take this, not even thinking about his Mother, himself, or the man who actually had to face  Danzo’s personal wrath.

Something kept from Itachi himself, clearly. 

“Where have you been.” He cuts in, bare feet padding determinedly to his Father’s location, ignoring the crease in his Mother’s brow that tells him not now, this isn’t the time.

It is the time, he’s decided.

7 & 8

Ashamed (??) Writing Meme || @fire-hearted-father8. What parts of writing a fic do you think are a chore?

;;  Setting shit up. Building everything and getting to the setting is a ridiculous chore. I’d much rather dive headfirst into the plot and let the world establish itself as I go and that’s what I end up doing -- and then have all this extra information in my head that isn’t in the fic, but would actually explain a bunch of different things, but oh well, didn’t fit, too bad.

Which is terrible because I love world building. I love having all these details and bit and pieces to put together for this beautiful, intricate picture. It’s neat to have different textures in a world and different hues to the stories so it can be seen through multi-colored glasses. It’s seriously so much fun.

But to write that? To actually build a solid base for the reader to grasp? Not only do I think I suck at it, but I also bore myself when I do it. I know that my method of writing is possible, but I don’t write long enough fics for it to be effective. One day, I’ll find the balance, I hope.

There was so much he wanted to say. As long as they’d held him in and tried every trick in the book, the only thing they actually succeeded in breaking was his body. A medical ninja would have to break his legs again to make sure they re-set properly. One eye was removed. Some parts of his face and neck appeared to be chewed by mouths far to small to be anything other than rodent.

“They let me out,” he muttered, “but they expect me to keep quiet. I’m worried. There could have been other people pulled aside for the same thing. It’s just…”

For this, his eyes turned scarlet. “I’m not sure how much you actually want to hear. I may have been friends with your student, Jiraiya…but just how close are you with your old sensei?”

This was his fault, in other words. His and that asshole hiding in the shadows.

Meeting that scarlet gaze was hard, knowledge of just what his sins brought present and never something Jiriaya could bring himself to back down from. “I’m not,” he confessed quietly.

A sip of his tea to disguise the small jutsu for privacy, hands where Uchiha-san could see to prevent any misgivings for an attack. “At one time, he was my hero, as all sensei are to their genin. But war changes people, as I’m sure you know, and his knowledge of...certain experiments tarnished what I knew. But,” another sip, “it wasn’t until the Fourth’s death that our relationship broke.”

He’d chased the rumors and the blame, following his once-teammate until it became certain that those attributing the attack to Orochimaru simply wanted updates on the Sannin’s actions. He offered none and turned his attentions to follow the flash of orange that appeared to stick out in people’s memories.

“There are three down there, all as closely guarded as you were. I found what appeared to be the next targets, but it ended up being false information.” His smile turned wry at the reminder of just how they attempted to distract him. “Your clan’s prison of a compound will actually protect you, should you choose to use it as such. I understand I do not have your trust. I will still share everything I know.”

I could recommend all of Skye’s blogs really. Danzou, Taiyou, Natsu–She has so many wonderful muses.

celestialoculi Speaking of original characters, you will never find one more well thought out than this lovely creature.

sunsetnojutsu While not very active lately, this is one of my favorite Rock Lees. Very in character, as deep as they keep him comical.

I want to recommend Celeste’s blogs, but she is no longer active. ;3; I miss her Hidan, Hizashi, and Tokuma. If she ever comes back to tumblr, I would highly recommend her blogs.

silenceindefeat They’re a great Sasuke, and their “muted” verse is a really interesting take on the character.

Send me "How'd you get this?" For my muses reaction to yours tracing one of their scars and asking how they got it

A minor shrug was given in reply, an isolated attempt to diffuse the amount of trouble he’d be in once the matter became more apparent. Despite his best efforts to conceal the fresh scar residing on his skin, his father’s eyes didn’t miss anything. Perhaps that was a bit of a stretch though considering how unnoticed the seven year old felt even when Fugaku was looking straight at him.

Sasuke brought his gaze to the side, exhaling in the process. Lying would only make this worse on him and he was taught better. “I followed Inabi last night after sneaking out of the house because I wanted to know what was going on. He didn’t notice me but I lost track of him,” he slowly replied.

He purely wanted to know what all the secrets were about, but instead of answers he ended up trying to find his way back home in the dark before anyone noticed he left when they were at a meeting and somehow ended up getting a cut in the process.
