Hi, I'm a fool and made the most punishing Pokémon challenge run.

So y'know how people call Nuzlocke challenges difficult? And I mean, they're right, they can be.

But this is a deathless nuzlocke. A single mon faints and we restart the entire thing.

Yesterday, I beat the Elite Four and became the Champion in LeafGreen, making this the first main series Pokemon game that I’ve completed the main story of! I’m super happy and proud of this, so I drew my team to mark this success.

Team stats and some general playthrough notes under the cut:

The Team™, in the order they were caught (Name, Species, Sex, Moveset):

General Playthrough Notes:

According to the save, the game was beaten in a total of 23 hours and 8 minutes. I wander around not doing plot a lot lmao.

When entering the Indigo Plateau, everyone was exactly LV45.

I skipped a few routes (mainly that dammed Route 13 because I was not interested in that fence maze) and Rocket Grunt battles, and also did some of the gyms out of order.

Noel and Floonve were the MVPs during the Elite Four.

I did not pack enough revives for that.

The entire Elite Four plus my rival took a little over an hour to do. Half of that time was spent fighting Agatha, who kept just using Hypnosis with her LV58 Gengar, and then trying to use Nightmare but failing because I would have already used my pokeflute by then.

There was originally going to be a Crobat on my team, but then I realized that you can’t evolve Golbat to Crobat in this game, so I had to change plans.

Noel was supposed to become an Umbreon, but that wasn’t allowed either so

As of beating the Elite Four, I had 18 entries in the Pokedex and three Pokemon in the PC. Those three were: “Solo” the Golbat, “Baka” the Hitmonchan, and “Scree” the Kabuto.

I don’t plan on doing much of the post-game, just catching the legendary bird trio (as of making this post I have caught Articuno and am working on getting Zapdos next), and then I’ll probably reset the game and try doing a nuzlocke!
