Still haven’t finished my Coalecroux doll set because my fixation changed, but I’m still Avantris pilled and have been making a Pyke bjd in my ceramics class in honor of season 2

Sculpted from B mix and painted with underglaze that I hope will turn out the right color

Since he’s my first bjd I’ll be sculpting his hands, head, and feet out of a different clay that’s less fragile and I’m more comfortable with

bjd update! Anodyne’s construction is currently on break, with my other projects and preparing my art to be displayed in three different places, but here is the latest news. She has been test strung! The body joints fit perfectly, the hips ok, the knees need work, (the right knee cap is shorter then the other, and I don’t know if I strung her to tightly because her knees bend on their own) and I need to build up the inside locking mechanism in her head. So, fiddling, I think once I return I will start the arms just so all the pieces are made and can be refined together.

I found a doll that is around $63 with free shipping and faceup on Oueneifs and my mom says she might buy it. I'm so excited, my first bjd aaaaa. Now I just need to decide what OC is she gonna be.

Shes here! My first bjd has arrived today! I bought her second hand from a friend via discord and oh my god shes absolutely the cutest thing! She came with a cute pink dress and minty 8mm eyes Shes a tan resin Dika Doll Peach! Tiny sized bjd at 12.5 cm! Im naming her Juniper ♡♡ Thanks owlmusic for letting me buy her!

BJD project #1

So some people including @amethewombat asked me to show some pictures about my first BJD doll and her whereabouts and I think this is the right time when I’m sharing her documentary and current status.

She is a Doll Leaves Nala, a kitten-like event doll. I bought her secondhandly from a girl who just only touched her when she’s arrived. I’ve got her certification and these brown eyes, nothing more included in the box so she’s barely nude and haven’t got any painting yet.

I give her the name ‘Myrtle Alicein’. Myrtle because my partner always speaks about a cat called Myrtle (this is a stand-up comedist’s joke thingy in Hungary, but I like this name, sorry) and Alicein because her future home is an Alice in Wonderland themed victorian house and every little anthropomorph/elf-styled small baby who lives IN the ALICE house called Alicein. (Silly, isn’t it? :D)

I think she is a cheerful little girl who wants to know everything about the world. She has strawberry blonde/red brown, curly hair, freckles and Victorian/lolita outfits. Her signature accesorize are the forehead bands that she wears in every occassion. 

This is the plan so far, so let’s get moving! 

I paint her face with pastels and aquarell paint. Honestly, this is my first doll and doll painting and I made her almost 7 hours long, but I’m so happy with the results. She looks so fine with her makeup and the ‘curious-aura’ floating around her. *giggles*

Now I took her apart and in the weekend I’ve started to make her body blush and the kitty paws and ears. I want to make her fully by myself, but I’ve got a lot of advices from her previous owner and my BJD-mum friends, thank you very much sweeties! <3

And what the future will bring us? I wanna make her an alpaca wig and make her a forehead band, a skirt and a knitted sweater first, and maybe a romantic brown hood with pastel pink hearts. Aww <3
