Jeremy Heere. Average student. Best friend/crush Michael Mell. Immune system: horrible. When he first woke up, he didn’t think he was that sick. It was just a stomach ache, no big deal. He could deal with it.
Jeremy foolishy ended up going to school. Not like anyone would notice his slightly sluggish attitude, his first class with Michael wasn’t until fourth hour. However, by the time fourth hour rolled around, Jeremy could barley stand up straight. He felt like he would collaspe at any moment, and he started to get the urge to vomit.
“Jeremy, are you here? Well, you always are, but you know what I meant.” Michael, who had been trying to talk to Jeremy for the last five minutes, started to notice his daze. Jeremy was sweating heavily, and clutching his stomach. Jeremy, was about to say something along the lines of ‘I’m fine’ or ‘yeah, just tired,’ but the bell for fourth hour rang, and he and Michael had to go to class.
It was during the middle of fourth hour, that Jeremy really started to feel his sickness kick in. He could pratically feel the sweat from his face, despite freezing. He could barley pay attention to whatever the heck they were learning, he was too tired, and his stomach hurt so much.
“M-m-may, I go to the bathroom” Jeremy stuttered weakly, shivering vilonetly. Michael looked over at his friend. Just by hearing his voice, you could tell he was pretty sick. The teacher nodded, handing him a bathroom pass.
“Can I go with him?” Michael blurted out before Jeremy left. The teacher looked back at Jeremy, noticing how weak and fragile he seemed, then handed Michael a bathroom pass to go with Jeremy.
Jeremy quickly walked into the bathroom. Besides him and Michael, it was empty. Jeremy walked to one of the stalls, vomiting painfully. Michael flinched. He knew Jeremy was sick, but didn’t think it was this bad.
Jeremy kept throwing up for a few minutes, before he could finally catch his breath. Michael took Jeremy in his arms, rubbing his back to comfort him. Jeremy was still shivering. Michael felt Jeremy’s forehead, wincing at the heat:
“You’re burning up, why did you come to school?” Michael asked concerned. Jeremy just shrugged weakly. He was too tired to give Michael a full answer, and didn’t really feel like talking anyway.
“I’m taking you home.” Michael explained, carefully picking Jeremy up, carrying him bridal style. Jeremy smiled at that thought, but then relized, what about Michael? He wasn’t sick, and he still had school.
“You?” Jeremy asked. Michael could barley hear him, and his voice was worse than it was before, probaly from vomiting. Michael shushed him.
“What about me? School can wait, you can’t.” Michael explained, starting to carry Jeremy out of the bathroom. Jeremy was concerned, considering missing one day of high school usually results in hours of make-up work, but he couldn’t argue back. He was too tired to, and Michael would probaly when an argument anyway. Plus, he’d rather have Michael with him than be alone.
“Look who’s up! How ya feeling?” Jeremy heard Michael say, as soon as he woke up, which was weird cuz he didn’t remember falling asleep. Jeremy noticed he was in his room, covered by one blanket. He also noticed a wet wash cloth on his forehead, which Michael probaly put there. Michael was sitting next to his bed, waiting for him to answer.
“Tired...um... uh... Michael?” Jeremy asked shyly. Michael seemed confused, and looked at Jeremy. “What’s up buddy?” Michael asked concerned. Jeremy looked away from Michael. “Um... can we cuddle?” Jeremy asked, feeling a blush mixed with his fever blush settle in. Michael was also blushing slightly.
“Sure.” Michael replied, crawling into bed with Jeremy. Jeremy sighed in relief, it be awkward for them if Michael said no. Michael craddled Jeremy in his arms, not letting go.
“Now that your awake, I should probaly take your tempe-“ Michael was about to say, but cut himself off when he heard Jeremy snoring softly. Michael chuckled to himself, Jeremy was so cute when he was asleep. He’d half to take Jeremy’s temperature and give him some medicine later but for now, Jeremy needed to rest.
