BTS Sickfic Headcannons

These are some sick headcannons I have of the tannies and I have so many other ideas for lists like these (i.e members as caretakers, best to worst patient, etc.) so here it goes <3

Seokjin 

Pushes himself even though he’s overdoing it 

Makes light jokes and wouldn’t admit how much pain he’s actually in 

The type to cough obnoxiously like an ipad kid if he’s at a stage where it’s not that serious of a cold (only to annoy Jk lol) 

If it is that serious, his coughs would be really congested and would take a lot out of him to the point of him getting dizzy

His face flushes when he gets fevers and also sweats a lot

Gets seasonal allergies 

His body gets really sluggish and his muscles tighten/get sore. 

Would silently approach another member and would cuddle them while they sleep so he could feel comfort without asking for it

Yoongi

Everyone knows he’s getting sick when he starts to seek out physical affection 

Makes the weirdest and strangest concoctions that actually works yet he also thinks a 5 star energy drink is a replacement for actual medicine (spoiler alert: it isn’t) 

Gets a really runny nose when he’s sick

The cutest and tiniest sneezes that rivals Jimin’s 

If it’s really bad, he becomes super clingy 

Sometimes it takes other people acknowledging it for him to realize or notice he’s sick; if he’s delirious with a high fever it could be like (“Yoongi, you’re sick” “Huh. I think you’re right”) 

You know that meme of Bernie Sanders sitting on the chair with his hands folded, yeah that’s Yoongi 

Hoseok

Get’s SUPER red when he has a fever 

As soon as his cheeks turn red, it's the first sign that he’s sick 

Would get super congested as well

The cleanest member in terms of making sure he wears a mask and cleans up his tissues to ensure no one gets sick because of him

Get’s really quiet and solemn when he’s feeling under the weather

Often gets swarmed by the maknae line and keeps a spray bottle on hand to shoo them away so they don’t get sick

Slurs his words when he's really out of it

He’s really good at taking care of himself and knows what his body needs, so him getting sick is a rarity.

Hates the taste of medicine, keep that shit far away from him, why would you even forsake him like that– 

Namjoon

Feels really guilty and gets apologetic when he’s sick

Tries to push through but his body will give up on him no matter how stubborn his mind is

Gets really bad stress induced migraines

Has the second loudest sneezes (cause we all know who is the first) 

He’s the most vocal when it comes to feeling bad, but not in a whiny way but more in a “My head is thundering to the storm in my heart and it's shooting lightening across my body akin to the feeling of shock..."

Yapper galore 

No seriously, if you thought this man could talk before, delirious!Namjoon with a fever that rivals Venus is borderline insane

Gets weirdly attached to soups, or any hot food for that matter, no matter his temperature  

Jimin

You know what they say, the baddest bitches have the worst stomachs and Jimin is the baddest bitch of them all 

Would stay curled up in a ball and wouldn’t move from his bed for days until the sickness is gone 

Is known to push himself past the point of exhaustion

Prone to fainting when the fever gets too high

The cutest sneezes in the world

Whines to anyone close to him about how bad he’s feeling, and whines to himself if no one is there

Is very honest, perhaps too honest about everything happening to him when he’s sick 

Self diagnose king ("hey google, is it normal for -insert the most outrageous thing here--)

Is prone to adrenaline boosts before his body shuts down (i.e doing five performances in a row then collapsing backstage) 

Taehyung 

Would whine when it’s the smallest inconvenience imaginable but when he gets quiet, that’s when you know he’s sick

His voice is also a giveaway, he sounds really congested and often loses his voice if it’s bad enough 

Has a lot of food sensitivities, the others thought he was being dramatic about being picky with his food until it was like, yeah no, you’re body actually rejects that

Fevers causes him to get rashes

Naturally he runs hot so fever!Tae is a furnace  

His nose gets really red when he’s sick

Would try to hide the fact that he’s ill but fails every time because he just looks absolutely miserable 

Gets super sleepy and would pass out anywhere

If you thought he was a deep sleeper before, sick Taehyung is borderline catatonic

His sneezes get quieter the more ill he is. 

Uses his hands for everything but covering his mouth when he coughs or sneezes, someone save Hobi 

He needs someone to take care of him, not because he wants them to but because he needs them to (he doesn’t get sick often so when it does, it triples in intensity and would last awhile) 

Jungkook

Probably the most stubborn of them all

His nose causes him the most problems, even when he’s feeling fine 

He used to get sick the most when he was younger because he would push himself all the time and refused to listen to his body when it demanded a break

 Gets very emotional when he’s not feeling well, making the congestion worse

He gets very sensitive to his surroundings; loud noises, bright lights, etc gets amplified and he would rather be in a dark, quiet room. 

Loves being taken care of, but he would never admit it 

Snores like a jet engine 

He’s usually an easy sleeper but under the weather Jungkook is an insomniac 

He needs his comfort foods, even though some would leave him feeling worse later on

Whimpers and groans more than actually talking about his pain

hey guys I had more time to write during the holidays, here's a random mpreg namjoon fic! hope ya'll enjoy (:

Namjoon just wants a break; a break from being sick that is. The past 5 months have been a roller coaster since learning he's pregnant. His schedule got cut in half and it feels weird not being busy all the time. "Just relax at home" Yoongi tells him, but that's been easier said than done. Namjoon tries to make do with his extra time, whether it's work or leisure. He's been kind of stressed lately so he chooses the second. The rapper decides to make some tea and catch up on reading.

Namjoon sits on the couch with a book and one hand resting on his bump, a new part to his favorite hobby. Soon he starts to relax naturally. He lightly rubs his tummy once in awhile, it brings him comfort and makes him feel closer with the baby. This is just what he needed. Joon gets lost in his literature and tunes out everything around him.

30 minutes later:

Time flows by and Namjoon is several chapters in. But then things start to unravel and the nausea gradually creeps back. He doesn't really notice it at first; but he's been shifting restless on the couch more. His concentration declines and he's been stuck on the same paragraph for a minute now. Then his stomach rolls and he can't ignore it.

Namjoon groans, putting down the book. He rubs his bump some more, pleading with his baby "please don't make me get up.." The ginger tea is supposed to help with nausea, but pregnancy sickness is unique. Namjoon tries to practice his slow breathing, puffing his cheeks out. He does this a few times and the tension lessens.

Namjoon tries going back to his book, he at least wants to finish this page. But now even reading is making him queasy. The words aren't reaching his brain and his stomach churns again. "Fuck.." Namjoon gets up holding his middle. Saliva quickly builds and he heads for the kitchen sink. He leans over with shaky arms breathing heavy. He just wants to get it over with. Namjoon opens his mouth and a long strip of saliva drips down. He spits it but nothing else comes out. "Ughh, come on.." Namjoon mutters. He tries to gag but just ends up drooling more. He's stuck there in limbo with nausea. Namjoon at least wishes Yoongi were here. His boyfriend is incredible with taking care of him. Like bringing him snacks, massaging his feet and giving endless comfort when he's sick. Namjoon couldn't ask for a better partner.

Namjoon stands at the sink for another minute and still nothing but saliva. This is getting annoying. Finally, his stomach slows down and he accepts that he can't right now.

But Joon still feels kind of nauseas. Maybe he should...go for a walk? Some fresh air would perfect. Even just a five minute one. Namjoon throws on a baggy hoodie to conceal his bump. He can still tie his shoes, but that's becoming difficult with his belly getting in the way. Soon he'll need Yoongi's help with that too.

Namjoon steps outside taking in the crisp autumn air. He loves the scenery this time of year. He's about to open the gate but something stops him. Joon backs up instinctively holding his middle again. He gulps as his stomach turns upside down, making him bend over. Namjoon stares tensely at the grass, a feeling of dread washes over him. He gags and it feels productive. Then he hurls right in his back yard. Namjoon gasps trying to process but his stomach is way ahead of him. "Hurrgghh!" A vast wave comes pouring from his mouth. It hurts his entire body as he coughs and sputters.

Then his phone buzzed; it's a text from Yoongi.

'Hey love, just checking in 💕 How are you feeling? xx'

Namjoon sighs wearily, he feels like crap. He tries to think of an answer but gets sick again. Namjoon heaves and sprays the grass with his stomach contents. "Hurghh!" This nausea is insufferable. He stays bent over panting and coughs up the tea he had. Soon it tapers off and he's just drooling again. Namjoon is exhausted and his knees hurt. He sighs in defeat and trudges back inside.

Namjoon flops on the couch, still in his shoes. He doesn't know what else to do. Should he just nap? His baby would likely interrupt that too. He checks the time on his phone but then realized he didn't text Yoongi back. "Awh shit" he mumbles, running a hand down his face. Then he gets another message:

'I'm coming home early, see you soon xx'

Namjoon hears Yoongi's car pull up and sighs with relief.

Feveruary day 13: 'I wouldn't even trust you to boil tea in your condition!'

Sickie: Namjoon | Caretaker: Jungkook

A nightmare.

This has to be a nightmare, because there’s no way Namjoon is in the kitchen, cooking, with a 39°C fever. There are chopping sounds coming from Namjoon's direction, which - oh god - meant that he had a knife.

Even more alarming than the fact that Namjoon can't cook, at all, and was asleep just a few hours ago with his highest temperature so far, Jungkook can also smell something burning from one of the three pots bubbling away mysteriously on the stove.

“Hyung!” He yelps, darting forward to switch off the stove before their entire dorm goes up in flames - “what are you doing?”

Namjoon turns away from the cutting board, knife in hand, blinking owlishly at him. Jungkook edges forward gingerly and plucks the knife out of Namjoon's grip - not that the leader noticed, given how his hand still dangled awkwardly in the air after Jungkook took the knife away. “I'm… cooking? Obviously?” Namjoon answers, sounding confused.

“I can see that, hyung,” - Jungkook glances briefly towards the cutting board and finds a fully whole carrot still sitting on top of it, which begs the question of what Namjoon had been cutting to create those chopping sounds he heard earlier - “but my question is, why?”

“Yeah, why?” Another voice joins them - Seokjin, and Yoongi right behind him. Seokjin looks at Jungkook first for an explanation, who gives a bewildered shrug in response, and raises his eyebrows questioningly in return. “We smelled something burning.” Yoongi mouths to him. Jungkook breathes an internal sigh of relief, grateful that he doesn't have to handle this alone now.

The elder’s tone becomes infinitely softer when he addresses Namjoon again. “Joonie, baby, mind telling hyung why you're suddenly cooking? You really shouldn't be out of bed right now.”

Namjoon turns his hazy gaze onto Seokjin. “You guys have been taking care of me while I’ve been sick this whole time.” He says. His diction is weirdly clear for a semi-delirious person with a high fever. “I wanted to cook something as thanks. ‘Cus I love you all.”

Seokjin was about to answer when he's startled by Jungkook dropping the knife on the table and wrapping his arms tight around the leader.

The maknae stares up at him and Yoongi with wet eyes. “Hyung, can we keep him?” He whispers, eyes practically sparkling with tears. “He's so fucking cute.”

Yoongi pinches the bridge of his nose in mock exasperation. “He already lives with us, Kook, what more do you want?”

“Oh. Right. I got carried away, sorry." Jungkook grins sheepishly.

Namjoon pats Jungkook's arm, still wrapped loosely around his waist. “So… will you let me get back to my cooking now?”

“What? No!” Jungkook immediately tightens his grip around the leader. “I wouldn't even trust you to boil tea in your condition!”

“I wouldn't trust him to boil tea in any condition,” Yoongi mutters, and gets elbowed in the side by Seokjin.

“Let Jungkook bring you back to your bedroom and rest, Joonie.” Seokjin cajoles. “You can continue your cooking later, after you feel better.”

“Oh.” Namjoon blinks at him, gaze foggy, then at the various pots scattered around the kitchen, then at Jungkook. He’s swaying a little. “Oh, that's alright, then.”

Thank fuck. Jungkook quickly grabs Namjoon’s arm before the leader can change his mind, wincing at the heat coming off his bare skin. Namjoon leans heavily into him when Jungkook pulls his arm over his shoulders, a clear sign that he was way overdue for a return to his bed. “Thank you,” he whispers to Seokjin as he leads their confused leader out of the kitchen.

“We'll clean up here,” Seokjin returns with a wry smile, Yoongi tossing him a nod; “I'm just glad we managed to stop him before anything actually caught fire.”

Feveruary day 11: 'You're burning up!'

Sickie: Namjoon | Caretaker: Hoseok, Jungkook

Namjoon feels too hot.

Or, he isn't feeling too hot… That sounds more right. Time feels like it's passing in a syrupy haze, and when he moves, it feels like his limbs aren't even attached to him. There's a weird lightheadedness that's making his thoughts all strange and floaty. And, his shirt was soaked thoroughly in sweat. Gross.

He's standing just outside their dorm, waiting for the driver to come pick him up when he looks down… And realises that he doesn't have any shoes on.

Huh. That seems like a problem he should fix immediately.

He unlocks the door and steps back into the dorm, searching for his shoes among the many pairs lining the hallway. He finds his sneakers eventually, half-buried under one of Jimin's boots.

It's when he's bending over to slip them on that the lightheadedness grows overwhelming, causing him to tip over sideways and fall into the shoe cabinet with a loud crash.

Two pairs of feet immediately come running, and Namjoon looks up in time to see Hoseok and Jungkook skid into view, eyes wide. Hoseok is first to reach him, checking him over for injuries and fretting like a mother hen.

“I knew there was something up when you were so quiet at breakfast this morning! What were you thinking, trying to go out in this condition?” Hoseok glances towards the door, which Namjoon had left open - “The driver's here. Kook, can you go out and tell him that Namjoon's too unwell to go to the company today?”

“No, wait, I can-” Namjoon protests, but they either don't hear him or ignore him, because Jungkook is out of the door and back beside him by the time the words leave his mouth. Or maybe that was just his screwed-up perception of time messing with him.

Now that he's thinking about it, he realises that he feels weird. Besides the lightheadedness, his limbs feel entirely too heavy to lift, and even blinking feels like too much of an effort. His whole body aches.

Hoseok notices his suddenly subdued demeanor, and clucks his tongue lightly. “You don't look well at all, aghi.” He says gently. “I'll help you walk back to your bedroom.”

He gets a hand properly around Namjoon's arm to help him up, then immediately gasps.

“You're burning up!”

“Fireeeeeeee,” Namjoon responds tiredly, on autopilot. Jungkook lets out an amused snort.

“You are way too cute for a sick person.” Hoseok says, smiling. “Kookie, help me with him.”

Together, Hoseok and Jungkook get him upright and walk him to his bedroom. At least, that's where Namjoon thinks they're going, because just putting one foot in front of the other is already taking up all his concentration and he doesn't have enough capacity left for coherent thought.

Then he's seated on his bed, and a rush of vertigo washes over him before he realises he's suddenly lying on his back, blinking confusedly up at Hoseok, who has a thermometer in his hands out of seemingly nowhere. He smiles at Namjoon when he sees him looking.

“Just, hold still for a while, Joonie-”

Silence falls over the room as they wait for the thermometer to beep, and in the few seconds that tick by, Namjoon stares at Hoseok’s eyelashes and wonders if he can count them to pass the time. It feels like it's been way longer than just a couple of seconds.

The next thing he knows, there's something cold running across his cheeks and neck, and he snaps his eyes open to Jungkook leaning over him. Hoseok is nowhere to be seen. He stares at the maknae, confused. Did Hoseok teleport away?

“You fell asleep.” Jungkook whispers. Okay, that makes a lot more sense. “Your fever's really high, so Hobi hyung's searching up what else we can do to bring it down. Jin hyung, Yoongi hyung, Jimin hyung and Taehyungie hyung are still at their photoshoot so they aren't answering their phones.”

“Okay.” Namjoon whispers back. “...Why are we whispering?”

Jungkook flusters and turns red immediately - and drops the washcloth straight onto Namjoon's face. “Oh no! Sorry, hyung!” Jungkook apologises frantically, back at a normal volume. He lifts the washcloth off Namjoon's face, adding a sheepish, “I'll go get Hobi hyung now. Um… try to sleep more if you can, okay?”

He's gone from the room at a speed that tells Namjoon he’s still embarrassed about earlier. Namjoon exhales, the sound of Jungkook and Hoseok's voices from outside washing over him like a soothing balm; his members’ presence have always meant safety and home for him. He hasn't been awake for all that long, but another nap sounds really nice.

He's asleep again before he finishes the thought.

Feveruary Day 7

Prompt: “I’m Still not used to being taken care of.”

Sickie: Namjoon | Caretakers: Yoongi, Hoseok

Word Count: 417

“Joon, get your ass back on that couch.” Yoongi says, pushing (albeit much gentler than usual) the younger back onto said couch.

The younger had come back from the library after a long day of tutoring, sniffling and coughing and Yoongi was having none of that “It’s just a small cold, hyung” shit. If Namjoon was going to infect him and Hoseok, one of them had to be feeling well enough to take care of Yoongi and Hoseok when they ultimately succumbed to illness.

Hoseok enters the room with a tray holding soup, crackers, and some medication on the side with a glass of water. “Hey, Joonie. How are you feeling?”

Namjoon coughs into his elbow and slowly sits up, the blanket wrapped around him falling to the floor. “Really, I’m feeling fine. It’s just a small cough guys. Please don’t worry.”

Hoseok sticks his tongue out and shoves the two pills into Namjoon’s mouth. He then holds the glass of water to Namjoon’s lips and gently tilts his head back. “Swallow these first, and then you can continue to pretend that you’re fine.”

Yoongi wraps the blanket back around Namjoon’s shoulders after picking it up off the floor. “You need to keep warm.” he scolds.

He sneezes and is left dazed for a hot second as Hoseok gently dabs at his nose with a tissue. A spoonful of soup is placed into his mouth and he swallows.

“Do you want crackers?” Hoseok asks. Before Namjoon can respond, however, Hoseok is sprinkling crackers into the soup so they soak up the soup.

Yoongi scowls. “Seok, you picked the weird ones. You should have given him the oyster crackers, at least.”

Hoseok pouts, his mouth forming a siot. “I couldn’t reach the good crackers.” His eyebrows furrow. “Plus, my crackers aren’t weird!”

Before it can turn into an argument, Namjoon frowns. He goes to talk but his voice is scratchy and congested. “I can go and–”

“No.” Hoseok and Yoongi turn their attention back to the younger.

“You need to rest.” Yoongi insists.

He sighs. “Sorry. I’m still not used to being taken care of.”

Hoseok cooes, moving the soup off the bed and handing the tray to Yoongi. He climbs onto the bed and wraps his limbs around Namjoon, not unlike a spider monkey. “We love taking care of you, Namjoonie.”

Yoongi grunts a reply that sounds an awful lot like an agreement and Namjoon lets himself relax.

Maybe he can let himself be taken care of

Feveruary Day 4

Prompt: Herbal Remedy

Sickie: Namjoon | Caretakers: Jimin, Jin

Word Count: 434

Notes: Looked up a root, works for this illness in a different form I think, so don’t follow what I wrote because I panicked and am 100% unsure if this method works, so don’t try this at home I suppose? Also spacing is a bit weird since i’m on mobile

“Do you want something for your throat?” Jimin asks worriedly.

It’s not often that Namjoon falls sick, but when he does, the entire group opts for babying him for a change. It’s easy to forget that even though he’s their leader, his age stands in the middle of the hyung line and the maknae line.

The leader, who is looking more like a pitiful burrito than BTS’ sexy leader, lets out a tiny cough that has the members’ hearts melting. Once the small coughing fit ends, Namjoon nods in Jimin’s? No, he doesn’t really know, but it’s in someone’s direction. His vision is too blurry to be able to tell his lovely members apart at the moment.

Jimin leaves to presumably head to the bathroom where they keep all the medications they need in the dorm. It’s usually stocked with cold and flu tablets, allergy pills, painkillers, cough drops, and whatever else Hoseok thinks to buy in his spur-of-the-moment restocks.

It’s a few minutes where Namjoon is left coughing, praying that either a, he loses his throat because it hurts so bad or b, Jimin returns quickly and he takes the medication and his throat magically becomes better within the next five seconds.

Finally, Jimin returns, squinting as he tries to read the label on the back of the cough syrup bottle. He opens his mouth to read the instructions when the bottle is slapped out of his hand.

Jimin immediately snaps up with a gasp, ready to fight whoever has committed such a heinous act but shuts his mouth when he sees it’s Jin. “Jin hyung, why did you do that?”

The eldest scoffs. “You want to feed him that liquid hallucination? I just know he’s going to start hallucinating or something if he takes that medication!”

His response earns him a huff. “That was only in some people, not all!”

Jin exits the room and returns a moment later with a mug and a handful of some root of … something.

“What the hell is that?!” Jimin asks, both curious and flabbergasted.

Jin throws it into the mug. “Echinacea root. It’ll work, I promise.”

He holds the mug to Namjoon’s lips, nodding when their sick leader immediately slurps the … root water down his poor, sore throat.

It seems to work because or maybe Jimin’s imagining things, but a bit of color starts to return to Namjoon’s cheeks. Not that he wants to agree with Jin’s methods but … it worked. The mysterious herbs worked.

And in the end, Jin is the true winner, leaving Namjoon’s room laughing like a windshield wiper.

Time to Clock Out

Sickie: Namjoon Caretaker:  Jin, Hoseok, Yoongi Content: fever, cold, weakness

Found in the archives - just some sick, overworking Jooniebug.

Jin just puts another mug of hot tea on Namjoon’s desk mug-warmer, sighing loudly at the younger band member. His fearless leader sits at his desk, beanie tugged over his head, headphones over his ears, hood from his sweatshirt tugged over his head, as he grouchily thanks his hyung and then promptly ignores him. Jin huffs, scoffs, but just leaves his dongsaeng’s studio. Namjoon has the chills, and he’s sure it’s just because his studio is cold, but Jin doesn’t believe it.

Honestly, Namjoon doesn’t either, but he has work to do. You can’t be in charge of one of the biggest boy bands on the planet and take normal sick days (honestly, you could, if you weren’t a member of BTS; it isn’t to say HYBE doesn’t let them have days off, but Namjoon has never worked with as many like-minded, stubborn individuals as his bandmates who refused to stop until they had to). He already finished whatever ungodly paperwork needed looking over—it was all schedules, really—but Namjoon still wants his studio playtime.

He's been passing a beat back and forth with Peakboy to see what either of them could do with it, and so far… it sounds… loud.

“Joon-ah,” a raspy voice calls from the doorway.

Namjoon doesn’t hear him. Not until he feels a small hand drop on his shoulder, and he stumbles with trying to yank his hoodie off when he looks up—only to see Hoseok staring at him, eyes wide with concern.

“Joon-ah, are you ignoring me?”

“Hob-ah… I’ve been trying to work on this beat.” He groans, tugging the headphones off. Honestly, they’re giving him a bit of a headache; he needs to take a break.

“You need to take a break.”

That’s what he was thinking! Hoseok sighs when the expression he gets is nothing short of awe. He’s seen this expression from Namjoon in a musical breakthrough or a surprise understanding with choreography, but… this?

“Joon-ah, are you feeling okay?”

“’m fine,” Namjoon huffs. He slouches in his chair. “I’m just gonna take a break. Were you gonna go eat?”

The dancer nods, answering carefully. “You want to come? I was considering samgyetang or seolleongtang. Something… soupy.”

Soup does sound nice, but… so does not moving. Namjoon shakes his head. “Actually, I kinda wanna stretch out a bit. Bring me back something?”

“Yeah, I can do that. Really, Joon-ah… if you’re passed out on this couch when I get back, I’m gonna wake you up so you can go home.”

Dismissively, Namjoon waves his hand away, and Hoseok huffs as he heads out. “Watch, he’ll be sleeping when we come back—” he can hear the dancer’s voice talking to someone before the studio door shuts behind him.

Namjoon’s determined to stay up. Obviously. He’s just tired. This is stupid. He ignores Hoseok, whoever Hoseok was talking to, ignores the signs his body is telling him that he doesn’t feel great—he feels fine—and he flops on his long couch. His couch is long enough to hold five friends or one stretched out Namjoon curled under a thick blanket. He curls under his blanket and flops his head on the pillow, and he’s out like a light.

Namjoon doesn’t really feel like he’d slept well but the hand running through his hair feels nice. He hums, pleased that the hand keeps the motions up, but grimaces when he feels a cold cloth press against his cheek. Shuddering, he turns his head away.

“Joon-ah… let me wipe your face,” comes the voice of his growly, sleepy older rapper.

“Yoongi-yah?” Namjoon mumbles.

“Mm. I’m here. You’re sick.”

“Nah,” Namjoon mumbles. He blinks open his eyes, and it takes him a moment for his eyes to focus. He’s in his studio, on his couch—predicable, honestly—and the blanket has been pulled away. Yoongi sits on his guest swivel chair, in his usual black hoodie, looking down at him. Yoongi presses the cloth against his cheek, and then swipes it down to his jaw. Besides the initial touch… it actually feels rather nice. Namjoon smiles, and his eyes fall shut again.

“Joon-ah… Want to go home?” Yoongi asks softly. “No reason napping on this couch when you can stretch out fully on your bed, you know?”

That… was a good point, actually. Namjoon blinks open his eyes. Yoongi wipes his other cheek, then presses the washcloth to his neck. “What time’s it?”

“Late enough, really.” A non-answer.

But it’s a good enough answer for Namjoon. With a groan, he closes his eyes, soaking in the cloth as Yoongi presses it on his forehead. “Mm…. Hyung… I think my legs are jello.”

That gets a small chuckle out of the small producer. “Come on, you big sick baby. Let’s get you back home.”

Thankfully, the ride back goes smoothly; Namjoon lets Yoongi bundle him up in a scarf and mask, and he sits patiently in the passenger seat of the car as Yoongi drives him back to the dorm. And he turns up the heat. Namjoon lets out a rough cough before leaning on the window and looks at Yoongi. His hyung is amazing, humming lightly to the radio instead of making a fuss over his condition. Just subtle, quiet caring; that was his style. Yoongi’s hand wraps around Namjoon’s wrist as he leads him into the building, scans them upstairs, then leads him into the dorm.

“You got him to come home!” Hoseok beams from the living room, hurrying over to help Namjoon with his scarf. He helps tug him out of his coat, taking Yoongi’s along to hang them up properly.

“Is Jin-hyung here too?” Namjoon grumbles.

He feels like he was conned.

And Jin screams from the kitchen: “YA! What, didn’t think I’d be at my own house making you my mother’s healing soup!?”

Namjoon can’t smell it much, but he can tell there’s something being cooked. The small producer leads him by his shoulders into his bedroom and begins rummaging through his top drawer for clothes. “Come on, can you change on your own?”

“I’m not that slow.” But even as Yoongi hands him the clean pajamas, he stares at them for a moment before groaning. Yoongi doesn’t give him time to stress, just helping him change his shirt. Namjoon’s pride gets in the way and he stands up quickly—and immediately falls onto the bed, lightheaded. Laughing Yoongi gives him grace and lets him keep the sweats on, but encourages him to take off his socks to avoid overheating. Yoongi tucks him in bed, just in time for Jin to enter with a tray of soup, juice, and medication.

Hoseok brings him an ice pack and helps feed him when he gets tired. But once he’s drifting off between spoonfuls, they force meds in him and finally let him sleep. Namjoon smiles as he gets tucked in; he doesn’t have to worry about being the oldest or the leader now, not with these three with him. He got a fantastic few hours of rest.

a drabble or prompts or whatever you called it, where Joon has this nervous ticks that Yoongi has known way too well after living and being together for the past 13 years. One is when he's start being jittery—Joon is naturally clumsy, but when he drops things out of nowhere for 5 times in span of one hour, you know that he's currently feeling on the edge. Two is when he's start to drink, a LOT—like, if you hands him a bottle of water, it will be gone in span of 10 minutes. He always takes small sips, never letting the bottle cap stays on its place for more than a minute.

Yoongi can handle all of those, it has grown in him. But how he deals with the second one, come with a few terms and condition—and there's an exception. The exception is, never let Joon get in a car, or any moving transportation with a bottle of water in hand. It won't ever end well for both of them.

"Joon-ah .. you need to stop drinking", Yoongi sighs as he watched the younger one uncapping the bottle for the 5 times in span of 5 minutes (yes, he counts it) and take two sips from it—while also simultaneously surpressing the urge to snatch it from him, "You will feel sick"

"Huh? Oh? This? Ah .. okay hyung", Namjoon seepishly look around, and then placed the bottle back on his side—seems like Yoongi's sudden call out breaks him out of whatever thoughts he was in. "Fuck .. sorry hyung. I did it again, right?", he sighs, pushing the blonde locks behind. "I'm just ne—"

"Nervous, i know. But you will do well, this is not so much different with our other interview", Yoongi reassures. "Now i will take a hold of this bottle, only if you really feel thirsty i will give it back to you"

Namjoon huffs, letting his body sagged into the seat, "Okay .. okay, i can do it. Are we still far?"

"15 minutes, give or take", Yoongi mumbles, already letting his eyes closed shut now that he already diminished one of his worry—Namjoon and his damn bottle of water. "Wake me up if we're already there, Joon-ah"

"Mhm"

Yoongi swears it's only been a minute since he closed his eyes—maybe longer, but who cares. He can dozed off longer than what he got right now—when he's roused from the state of blissful sleepiness with a ruckus from his side. "Joon-ah ... can you just, stay still", he grunts, rubbing his eyes as he prepares a few long words of curses at the tip of his tongue when he catch whatever Namjoon is doing, that makes that much noises. "What? What's wrong with you?"

There, Namjoon is only sitting—just trying to fall asleep like the older one did, but with trying 20 different positions in those tiny leather seat for the past minutes. It seems like his body and nerve won't let him catch a sleep—and the motion starts getting to him.

And on top of that—he forgot that his body isn't as tiny or light as Yoongi nor Jimin. Hence the loud noises, the result of his jacket rubbing against the seat—that awoken the sleepy Min Yoongi. His fault .. really.

"Sorry hyung", he grins, before shuffling once again (for the last time, before his hyung murder him for moving), "I'm just ... uncomfortable. I think you're right"

"Right? on what?"

Namjoon nudge his head at the tip of bottle of water that peeked under the older one jacket, "Water. It starts to make me feel sloshy and bloated", he huffs.

Yoongi frowns, his brain trying to catch up end of ties to another end. His eyes widen when the situation finally dawned on his sleepy brain. "You're not feeling sick .. right? Joon?"

Namjoon gulps, feeling another slosh of liquid pool into his chest. "I .. might be", he confesses quietly, before looking down at his hand that already settled over his middle, "But it's fine. I will be fine, i won't get sick. Don't worry hyung"

Yoongi frowns even further, the gears turning in his mind as he try to find an answer to their current problem. "At scale 1 to 10 .. how sick do you feel right now? Do you want us to pull over?", he scoots over, hands already reaching forward to signal to their driver, maybe for them to starts shifting lanes.

"8?", Namjoon groans, "Hyung .. stop pointing it out. You make me aware of my body and—", his words cuts off by a sudden burp. A wet one.

Namjoon eyes widen—and so is Yoongi.

As 5 seconds later, a wet belch followed and Namjoon heaves into his hand. "Fuck .. pull over!"

Yoongi's panicked words is the last thing any of them registered fully, before their car pull into a quite harsh stop, Namjoon swings the door open as he face the asphalt and promptly spews a waterfall of clear liquid. With amount of water he had taken since this morning, it's actually not a surprise when his stomach contracts and release after dizzying nausea—it comes in a big wave like a high pressure hose. Yoongi winces at the scene, as he pats the latter back while holding his blonde hair back. "Gosh .. Joon-ah .. breathe"

"Can't—", Namjoon chokes out before he curls further. His whole body shudders in time with his stomach and he belches large waves of sick up and out. This time, bits of undigested food are mixed in with the yellow-green liquid. Everything he ate for breakfast—gone.

A moan of discomfort tears from Namjoon's lips as the violent puking dies down, leaving behind a bitter taste on his tongue and tears in the corner of his eyes. "Fuck .. sorry hyung", he sniffles as he wipes his mouth, "I hate this", he hisses, gasping and spitting into the ground before closing the door.

Yoongi scoffs, retreating back to his seat as he hands the latter tissue and water. "Can hyung say "i told you so?""
