#first year complete

Harry Potter wasn't the only one displaced by the events on Halloween 1981 in Godric's Hollow. His twin sister Leila was forced to reside with the Dursleys as well. Often in Harry's shadow, Leila tries to mark her own path along her magical journey through her years at Hogwarts.  YEAR 1 COMPLETE!

                                   Year 1: Leaving Hogwarts

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. Leila awoke rather groggily to the sound of something crunching. She slowly opened her eyes, expecting to see Quirrell with You-Know-Who on the back of his head, but she was surprised to find that she was in the hospital wing and that Harry was lying in the bed beside her. She was thoroughly confused. How had she gotten to the hospital wing? She tried to remember what happened, but the crunching of wrappers beside her was too distracting. So, she turned to face the culprit: Ron Weasley. He was rifling through the massive pile of sweets on the table beside her. He was too preoccupied with the sweets to notice Leila staring directly at him. She cleared her throat. "What exactly do you think you're doing?" she hissed.

Ron quickly dropped most of the sweets in his hands and glanced at Leila with a pale face. He swallowed hard before he hoarsely said, "Bloody hell, you scared me." He held the place where his heart should be with his hand.

Leila rolled her eyes. "Serves you right," she scoffed, folding her arms across her chest. "For trying to steal my sweets."

Sooooo, I finished my first year of college about a week and a half ago! I’m studying to get a BFA in animation! Unfortunately college doesn’t give you much time to play video games...

LIFE UPDATE

Between last Wednesday and now...

WEDNESDAY:

My collie had to be put to sleep we thought she just had old dog problems like arthritis and took her to the vet we discovered she had much cancer and was in more pain than we could have imagined, she hid it so well RIP Pollywobbles love you princess

I finished the first year of college officially I think I have a DD when all is signed off and done

SATURDAY:

DAN AND PHIL MERCH ARRIVAL - NEW PEN AND MUG ACQUIRED

Work told me I needed more training in other departments and for this reason my probation was being extended... tad unfair lack of training is NOT my fault it’s the companies

SUNDAY:

Sat and drank in the garden I was tipsy by half 2 my excuse is that it was warm ad therefore Pimms oclock 

Won £20 on scratch cards 

MONDAY: 

Making an insanely detailed info pack with everything relevant to my Wednesday trip to Manchester to go look at the uni made a list of what I included so my standards could be the same for upcoming trip to York university and any further open days in the future

Father called me tightly wound and that we didn’t need everything I was taking I disagreed entirely and left it at his for him to look at as long as he kept everything in the relevant plastic wallet if any of it has been messed up by the time i return to stay the night this wonderful tuesday evening I will be deeply unhappy my organisation level is always that of a phil in an airport and I’m proud of this fact

That’s a Wrap!

Finished my first(full) year of college. This was really an eye-opening experience: working two jobs, juggling homework and home life responsibilities, the stress from all the work (and lack of help), and just maintaining my GPA (I was literally failing a class with an “F”). Somehow I made it to the very end, and the funny thing is-- I plan on taking classes in the summer, no break for me! 

Just for right now, I want to pat myself on the back and just thank everyone for their support (all those studyblr blogs) and inspiration (@combonight)!

A curious three year old boy, a grudge against a name, and the watchful moon's silent gaze. The 27th of February,1964 the full moon shone down on a small house in Wales and a curse was brought upon the family that would change them forever. Remus John Lupin, only a small child when everything was taken from him and his family. Now the threat isn't on the outside; it is him.

AND FIRST YEAR IS OVER. This summer is not going to do much though. TIME FOR THE YEAR OF THE WOLF!

Today's been odd and great. Went for food and to see Pitch Perfect 2 with my flatmates then went out tonight but it's the last night we are in the flat and I have no idea how to feel about it... all I really know is I survived my first year of uni, am excited for my second year and I'm pretty drunk

First year complete.

I've been awake since 10am Wednesday morning. My two remaining roommates and I decided to pull and all-nighter, staying up to finish work and just enjoy each other's company.  The past two nights have been so wonderful, full of laughs, sleepily said remarks which then started more laughter, homework, stress, pizza, and charcoal.  Also, moving all of our mattresses into the kitchen and sleeping in one big group.  I wouldn't have changed a thing.

This entire year has been so full of insane memories, those of which we just remember, ones we need pictures to remind ourselves, and some that we may not remember at all until someone tells us what happened the morning after.  Whichever it may be, everything has been spectacular. 

As this year comes to a close, many of us face moving into our own apartments and starting a more grown-up life.  I am so thankful to be sharing this huge step with some of my very best friends. I could't have asked for better roommates.

Speaking of roommates, 703...there are no words to describe what a wonderful ride this has been. Through all the ups and downs we were able to come together and form a bond stronger than most of the friendships I've established.  I will be forever grateful to have had such a wonderful dorm life with you three. It has certainly been loads of fun and adventures.

For now we say goodbye, but it's only a short three months until we will see each other again. Well actually, I'll be seeing two of you in July...so not that long.

Off to finish packing the car, have one last Hot Jumbo Bagel, then one last art class...and back to Maine. I'm so looking forward to a little breather from the city, but I will miss it dearly.
