I really didn't want to get up for my morning ritual, but then as I started negotiating with myself I realized I would be missing out and another hour of sleep would be of no benefit. So I got up and I did my yoga and meditation practice and I am better for it. Today I crushed my habits and the day's not done yet, still have a few minutes to knock out meditation. I'm rereading Girl Wash Your Face. It really speaks to my soul. My yoga session this morning was a great way to refresh and day 3 of transformation week is really providing great clarity into my bigger picture. Each day is a new opportunity to take hold of life and enjoy the ride. One month into my three month experiment and I’m not going to do the #beforeandafter photos because I’m that ashamed. But I will give you my honest results. The first week I lost weight fast!!! Ten pounds!! (Actually 11) I drink one shake in the morning (vanilla) with the pill and one in the afternoon (chocolate), drink 7 bottles of water a day, no fried foods and take 7000 steps (easy in Real Estate if you aren’t sucked into the office drama). My cheat day is Sunday. I can have fried foods on that day but I got so excited with the weight loss that I didn’t WANT fried foods! Second week I plateaued - understandably. It’s mostly water weight, I get it. But I was ok with it. Third week I was stuck behind a computer most of my days and drank more coffee than water and didn’t take my steps. I gained two pounds back. This week I’m back on. Increasing my steps. Increasing my water. Decreasing my coffee (latte) and getting the momentum back. I should be able to get back in my bike saddle soon and that’s when I’ll really start seeing a difference. Maybe maybe maybe I’ll do a before and after pic when I get to my three month end date but until then, more pictures of my dog, inspirational quotes, sold signs and coffee jokes. And I’ll just work on myself silently. Keep those positive vibes and prayers coming my way because those carb demons sure know how to tempt me!!! #modere #first30days #dietschmiet
