A few weeks ago I decided to try and explore the world of crochet. I ordered some yarn and a how to book and began watching videos and reading the book. I quickly discovered that the hooks that came with the book are way to hard to hold on to and they made my hands hurt. So I began searching for some hooks with bigger handles and I found some. I asked Justin(my husband) if we could go to Hobby Lobby to look at yarn since it was on sale for 30% off. I got 3 skeins of yarn for less than $10 plus I still had the yarn that I ordered. Once the hooks came in I began trying to crochet a few different things but I was having difficulties getting things to look right(I'm a perfectionist when it comes to things like this) so I kept undoing what I made and starting over. After doing that a bajillion times I finally finished a piece and I'm so proud of it.
I made an Awareness Ribbon for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and I love it. It was a beginner friendly project and I love how it turned out. I thought about making more and I was selling them for a small price and donating a portion of what I earn to the Coalition to Cure Calpain 3* If interested send me a message. I can make it in any color. It can be made into a keychain, necklace, or pin.
*Calpain 3 is one of the mutated genes that make up Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2A and the donation would help research.
