“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” River said gently as she looked up from her work to look at Lilith. Yes being summoned to hell with her daughter certainly had been a shock. Even more so when she’d found out the purpose was to try and make sure that Lilith was ready for impending motherhood.

But she’d agreed (even though it wasn’t presented as much of a choice) very quickly once she’d actually seen Lilith again.

“From what I’ve heard you certainly haven’t had it easy.”

 Isabelle nodded, brushing her bangs from her face, “You look like one tired mama.” She noted, “How can something so cute be so obnoxious and loud?”

“Well,  that’s an ironic choice of words.”  Chuck let out a quiet laugh.  He thought that was funny at least,  though he wasn’t sure that Lilith would think the same thing.

A smiled settles on his lips as he steps back and looked over Lilith.  He probably shouldn’t have showed up in this town,  he knew the damage that his son had caused.  “I’m turning over a life,  trying to be a nicer deity and all that.”

“I’m told your old boss is a right prick, love.”  Lucifer couldn’t the amused smile on his face,  though from what Sabrina had told him,  that was a bit of an understatement when it came to the other version of him.

“If you had found your way through a portal to my universe you would have been ruling centuries ago.”

       She wasn’t sure what had happened; one second, she was in the back room of Lux, about to bring out another case of liquor to the bar. And the next... well, Maze had no clue where she was. It sure wasn’t Los Angeles. The smell of unpolluted air mixed with various wild animals smelled as foreign to her as the sea had been when she and Lucifer first came to Earth. Slowly she made her way through the overgrowth until she came to something familiar, the flatness of asphalt beneath her boot. There wasn’t time to look for road markings or any indication of her location; the chill down her spine made her head swivel to the right. Demon blood nearby, and family at that.

      Maze grabbed the knife sheathed in her boot and started in that direction. Whether the being was responsible for her sudden trip or could get her home was yet to be determined. She needed to know who it was first. The shape of someone between the trees made her stop, “hello?”

After some time gone by, after relieving Tara back to the mortal realm to live out her life with Rosita and the ghosts of her loved ones, Lilith makes a subtle appearance at the place they first met. She waits beyond what used to be the walls of Hilltop, mostly to gain courage to go further to speak with Tara. She didn’t know what to expect or even if Tara would want to speak with her. Would the mortal even remember her? There was only one way to find out. -firstwiitch (here’s a ting 🖤 )

The whole affair had felt so hyper realistic. But, it had only been a dream. Right? Most nights she wasn't so sure. Tara didn't sleep most nights as she paced the walls. The Hilltop had lived in peace for many years but she had grown older in age. Grown tired. When she saw movement at the bottom of the gates her heart leapt. As if she had seen a ghost. Tara turned and climbed down the ladder. As she landed, she realized he'd for her ax as she used her free hand to yank the gate open.

Her shoulders relaxed at the sight. "Lilith."

             Zelda’s entire body tensed. No she certainly could not cry in front of Lilith. Of all things... She shook her head. Of course she knew she was being petulant and stubborn and foolish. But could not afford this moment of weakness. Not with the Mother of Demons, not with the woman they prayed to. Yet the tears continued to sting at her eyes.

             “I’m supposed to be your High Priestess, not some weeping shrew,” she remarked bitterly, hating how her voice shook, and delicately wiped at the corners of her eyes. Zelda knew she had no real reason to be crying, to be so upset. But seeing Letiticia and Judas, seeing how broken and hollow they were, seeing what Faustus had done to them... it was too much.

The smile on her lips was sympathetic. Too well did she understand the other’s words, knew they were true. It was easy to forget something you’ve been denied --- or denied yourself --- for a long time. Still, Maerose had always been a rather physical person, not hesitating to brush her hand up and down Lilith’s arm. “You shouldn’t ever forget. True human contact, and I am not talking about a friendly handshake, it’s something extremely valuable.”
