Fishy lesbian movie poster—“Fresh Kill” (1994)
F is for fish poster ---- Day 6 of my a to z of taskmaster is F for fish poster. Rose matafeo had to bring in the best thing from a shed in series 9 and she bought in a fish poster. Fish posters are very popular in New Zealand fish and chip shops and in their shed. The poster has made a couple of appearances since in the taskmaster universe. The shed in the garden of the house in Taskmaster New Zealand has a fish poster in and TMNZ did a live task where they had to memorise the fish off the poster. ---- #atozoftaskmaster #taskmaster #taskmasterfanart #rosematafeo #newzealand #illustration #watercolourillustration #charlotsart
new poster on my wall
Regional taskmaster is great for a lot of reasons...but New Zealand making a live task as a reference to a random prize task for a different version of the show from literally the other side of the globe may be my new favorite "localization" joke.

Using a focal image for a poster.
I recently began a post-doctoral fellowship with Dr. Kevin McCann and the Wildlife Conservation Society and I was recently asked to apply my design skills to construct a poster for the lab - showcasing the breadth of research we are conducting in the lab. Here, I chose to use a salmonid fish as the centerpiece of the poster. Each lab member uses a different part of the fish for their research and I used that feature to explain how the tissue is used to increased our understanding of food webs. In the example above you can read about the work Tim Bartley and I are doing on omnivores and climate change. The finished poster has the research of all the members of the lab. This poster is a great example of how you can use a single image as a focal point and build the poster around the image.
