Bright Young Lady || RP with fishfingersandgeronimo
Things had changed for Ada Gillyflower. For the better.
After leaving Sweetville to its own twisted problems, Mr. Thursday had been a huge help to Ada in her finding her own way. A new flat, a new town -- London -- and an education in Braille was all the lady needed to start fresh. Away from her mother and her sermons and the evils of "The Crimson Horror", Ada felt bliss for the first time in years.
She sat in this new flat now, the sun shining bright on her face as she relaxed by the window, part of a sewed skirt in her hands. It was a nice hobby for her, sewing, and though her edges were rough, most of her work turned out alright, according to Mr. Thursday -- he'd even mentioned selling her clothing for a coin or two. Briefly, she wondered how others would like her work. Even her special monster.
She'd never gotten to know his name. She thought she might have heard it before he left, fleetingly, but if she had she couldn't recall it. She wondered how he was, human and alive and free...
Then she heard a noise. A strange noise, that she couldn't place to any other sound, right outside her window on the main floor. Curious, she grabbed her white quide cane and meandered out of the living room and out the front door, where the wind whipped around her as the noise came to a stop. Something was in front of her; she could feel it. She bit her lip as she heard the door open. "Hello? Who's there?" She asked, timidly.
